The common use of two times as in 'two times winner' or 'he won two times'.
What really annoys me is the pronunciation of kilometres an hour as kilometers an hour.
An 'ometer' measures as in gasometer, mileometer,pedometer and kilometre should be pronounced to match kilogram (another measurement ).
Then there's the people who have electricity metres or measure in meters!!0 -

Probably for the same reason every baby is automatically "adorable":rotfl:. Well - some are and some are obviously going to be plug-ugly when they grow up.
We've had our share of dead celebrities being "bigged-up" recently though and I must admit that, as soon as I read of David Bowie having gone bankrupt once - I compared that to how much money he had left in his Will and wondered if he ever paid the people/firms back once he had made "loadsa money" and had my cynical suspicions he probably hadn't done so (despite clearly having the opportunity to do so from all that money).0
