Thanks Fay. I phoned paypal tonight who said do a paypal claim with them, fax them proof that the bags a fake ie letter from Mulberry and I will get my money back. I started a paypal claim and hey ho my buyer has decided to refund upon receipt of item. Why should I send her back the bag at my expense so she can sell it again to some other poor sucker?
She sold another of the same bag last month for £130! And she quite clearly stated that she wants it back to re-sell. I've been googling her more and I'm convinced it is the TV person. The email/paypal addy is under her stage (maiden) name and the name on her ebay is her married name. Her daughter is also on a talent website with the same (married) surname. One of the articles I found on her states XXX XXXX has recently seperated from her husband, which explains why she's got a different surname (the same as her daughter) on her ebay.
I'm assuming she wants the bag back ASAP as its my only evidence?
no more ebay for me. I think I'm going insane.0 -
why cant u just let her be & return the bag,why go to all this trouble, after all you are getting a refund.
all this positive energy is being wasted why dont u use it on studying?0 -
Well its the summer holidays just now so not much need to study. Why should I let someone who sells fakes off the hook? Shes still demanding I return the item to her at my own cost so she can re-sell it, but at least she replying to me through her formal email account so I know for sure now it is this TV person!0

Her latest email;
You have blocked my paypal...so as soon as you reply to paypal and open my
account I will refund.
Take it out of dispute.
I will trust that you will send my bag back.
Shame because now we have both complained to ebay about each other.....so
negatives against us! Oh well......you shop there more than I do!

Who cares that it's a TV celebrity, it makes no difference to if it is fake or otherwise.
You seem obsessed by if she is or is not who you think she is so either do something about it or drop it.0 -
Now you have started I think you should hang on in there.
Do let us know what happens.
Is she still selling bags?We all evolve - get on with it0 -

I am simply wondering why someone with so much to lose would choose to conduct themselevs in this manner. If she got a criminal record/was in the papers for this you can bet she'd never get work again, so why (if she made a genuine mistake) can't she just refund me? If she's that desperate to get he bag back, why can't she give me the money to send it back. If I have to pay to send it back to her its as if I am in the wrong by not wanting to accept the bag.0 -
Why has she complained to ebay/ paypal about you? From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings

I suggest going along with paypal's suggestion (proof of it being a fake). They may ask for it to be destroyed - if not, take it to Trading Standards.
I'm with you, I don't think you should just 'let her be'. That's the kind of attitude that allows these people to make thousands out of poor saps on ebay.My TV is broken!
