  • WELL DONE - I'M REALLY HAPPY FOR YOU

    She caved huh!

Just to get closure you should destroy the bag (take a knife/scissors to it), photograph it, scan the photograph and send it to her. You could also post the photo on here - give us all a laugh.

No she didnt cave, I phoned paypal (on the advice oy Fay) and they received the fax I sent them from Mulberry. Then paypal decided in my favour. I'm still deciding what to do with the bag.;)

Nooooo just use it! I got an Emmy for my birthday (black) and it looks lovely now its all weathered and worn in. Mulberry's only get better with age. Get collonil spray if you're worried about waterspots. Plus the Emmy is such a versatile bag, it'll set off any outfit.

I'm worried some chav will walk off with it, rather than the aging - I liked the Emmy cos of the darwin leather (and the fact it's a fab bag!)... Being a stuuuuudent again, I don't really go out too much (!), and I'm sure it wouldn't last 5 minutes on a hospital ward (although I would look darn good!)...

    I'm waiting til I qualify :D

  • I hope you don't mind me asking but what's medical school like? I've done a law degree and am now doing postgrad, but I reeeally don't want to be a lawyer (OH is a solicitor and he's put me off for life!) so I was thinking about doing medicine, although I'm not sure I could put in the long slog considering I have 2 kids.

It's fab - hard work (stamina rather than knowledge! ALthough after a few months of 13 hour days on your feet, weight really drops off you - Hurrah!), but I've never been happier!

A few of my friends are parents, so it's do able. My school make consessions for 'primary carers', so you get your placements in local hospitals etc. and fit in the essentials of your life (children, childcare etc) around med school... They are generally great if you need to take a year out. One of my friends had her first in our first year and is pregnant with her 2nd at the moment (we're 4th years) - having 2 ickle ones, whe's thinking of suspending her studies for a year; another friends little boy was a toddler in our first year, and his going to school year co-incided with our third year. She wanted to be around more for him during that year, so took a year out.
