Bought a fake! Major dilemma!

Why don't you get your friend who works for Mulberry to deal with it, surely it would be better for the company to deal with these, especially as they are part of the vero programme.
Thanks for your concern but I'm sure she has other things to do with her spare time. If Mulberry are that concerned about the fakes being sold on eBay then they can pay someone to police the listings. I simply happened to notice that listing as I was browsing, but I then looked through a page of Mulberry Emmy's on eBay and only 2 were real as far as I could see. so thats a good 20-30 people getting conned out of £300 odd!
God that listing for the Emmy is still running £205 with 15 mins to go. Maybe I should buy it and sue the seller for the cost of a real one? :P0 -

So Mulberry aren't concerned with their reputation, they charge a fotune for their bags, they are a member of the vero programme and they can't be bothered to do anything to protect the public.

WELL DONE - I'M REALLY HAPPY FOR YOU
She caved huh!
Just to get closure you should destroy the bag (take a knife/scissors to it), photograph it, scan the photograph and send it to her. You could also post the photo on here - give us all a laugh.0 -
Just go silent for a week. She has given you more than she should have and you have the bag.
She will be screeming blue murder on email for her to get her money back.
When you send it back (if you do) make sure your not a penny out of pocKet, your second payment will probably deduct paypal fees.Lets get this straight. Say my house is worth £100K, it drops £20K and I complain but I should not complain when I actually pay £200K via a mortgage:rolleyes:0 -

There is no need to be so aggressive, a lot of people here have given you advice, Drfluffy was only trying to make it easier for the rest of us to spot a fake !!

It annoys me when you know for definite it's a fake and report it but ebay do nothing about it - there should be an option to enter what points towards it being fake. I reported one on the basis the bag showed as having two interior pockets when it only should have one, but ebay did nothing about it.
Unfortunately, there are good copies out there and it's not always easy to tell from a photo. Often the giveaway is the weight - Darwin leather Mulberry bags are pretty heavy (my Rio weighs a ton empty, never mind with anything in it!) but by that time you've paid your money out.
Well done though SHW - you going to having a ceremonial burning of the offending article now?
