So one couldn't put them in a box and then drive them away and leave them at the top of a hill or leave out some anti-freeze either:rotfl:
Actually yes you could, but you'd be in trouble if you got caught! Personally I got very close to risking trapping the b*****s and taking them to the RSPCA 300 miles away.Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

I love all animals, but an air rifle would work a treat!

Does anyone else agree with me here ?
I am finding some of the comments made this thread are in very poor taste.0 -
Have you tried grating soap and sprinkling that on the affected area? My Grandad used to do that and he said it worked.0

I wouldn't harm the cats but personally I think it's a sign of extreme ignorance to expect other people to clear up your animal's crap!Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants - Michael Pollan

It's not due to any of us meaning to be cruel to cats at all, but we get to a stage where frustration really gets to us because it seems as though there's absolutely nothing we can do to rid ourselves of the problem of cats coming to our gardens to kill the birds we love or to mess in our gardens. I have no desire to have cat faeces in my garden where it can come into contact with the children, neither do I wish to keep cleaning up after other peoples' cats or to wish to have to watch them 'play' with and kill the birds I love! For those reasons I will keep on putting holly cuttings down whenever necessary as that's the only thing that works to stop them. The pity of it is that as yet another cat is bought by neighbours (and that's only in one house) who already have 4, the holly treatment needs to be redone every so often, for which I make absolutely no apology.
Unless you're a cat lover you would see exactly what we mean, also you'd see the frustration coming out in small vents here for what it's worth, a way of freeing us from the frustrations we feel. It would help if many cat lovers didn't keep on adding to their pet (cat) numbers and letting them go about their 'business' wherever they wish to.
Sorry if any posts have offended you or others Tabatha Kitten, but please could you also see it from the views of others who have to suffer the consequences of many irresponsible cat owners - whether we like it or not! I'd never harm any creature, but neither will I tolerate others cats for life!

I am pleased to hear that you are following some of the sensible advice given on this thread Sue.
What I was referring to was posts about poisoning, air rifels, dumping in boxes, anti freeze etc.
I only read a few pages back and was feeling quite sick that some people could come up with such suggestions.0 -
I understand the revulsion, but to be honest, when you've just filled the boot of your mondeo estate with bags of dead birds and cat/dog crap for the umpteenth time, it's difficult not to let your mind wander to the more 'permanent' (if less humane - hang on it's a cat not a human!!!!) solutions. IMHO it's better to be able let off steam here - however offensive it may be to some - in the hope that having done so, you revert to the holly when you get back into the garden and find another series of gifts...Eat food. The advice about the holly was given out by me TK, after years of being plagued by cats and the problems they present. I had to find as permanent a fix as possible and this was it - until the next cat enters the neighbourhood. Such a shame owners aren't forced to put them on leads to take for a walk!!
This is one of those never-ending problems and where there are bound to be slightly offensive posts due to frustrations, one of those things I'm afraid, but I don't think any of us would actually resort to what they say in slight frivolity - I hope! :A
I couldn't have put it better daska!

Well I've spent a couple of days turning soil over and what not and, knowing 3 cats regularly poop in my garden, covered the freshly dug over patch with netting... has that stopped them... nope, they've just done it right on top!
And another thing... fox poo is way worse than cat poo... I get them in my garden too.
Lucky me :rolleyes:TOP MONEYSAVING TIP
Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!0
