I love curries so decided to give the cats a taste of ONE spice to initaite them. RED CHILLIE POWDER
They have never ventured into my garden since.
I guess they are not too adventurous.
I now keep a bag in my shed incase there taste buds change.
HaribolI have learnt that providing excellence gets you what you deserve and not what you want !!!0 -

I'd do the same but one of the major culprits are the police.
They're on horseback here in the sticks0 -
Please accept my apology if this suggestion has already been given but I got tired of trawling through a lot of dross that has nothing to do with the subject.
Have a look at https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profiles0700/cats.asp for some advice.
I've had a lot of success with the plant 'Scardy Cat' (coleus canina) but, as I've pointed out to the owner, the best solution will come about when my foot engages with the animals rear orifice!!0 -

they soon knew when it was pointed at them ...........didn't even need to squirt in the end:D
ROFL!!!!!! :rotfl: :T Thats fab!!!
(As kids) We used to lean out of the top floor windows with supersoakers squirting cats....The cats used to sit in front of the patio door pulling faces at my dog!.... Child Vigilantes.... and before you all tell me that I was a bad child... the cat outlived my dog... a bit of water never hurt no cat

Does anybody know if any of these solutions work on dogs ?
I have a patch of open grass outside the front of my house and some ignorant @!$£ keeps letting their dog do their business on it. I'm at work all day so the chances of catching 'em at it are slim, and I really don't have the cash to fence it all in :mad:0 -
my gran uses bottles half filled with water and it works, or she sprinkles pepper around!0

Sounds harsh, but try a catapult. If you've got CD's up, aim for them. If not......
And to all of those cat lovers......I really don't care.Every silver lining has a cloud...

I have the same problem; the old wives' tales like the water in the bottle might work to start with but I found it didn't last! I bought a cat and dog repeller from Robert Dyas (abt £25 each) - works perfectly, it sends out a bleep as things pass it, with quite a good radius, and they soon move away; apparently it's not painful to the animals. Hope it works for u!Jdubb0

Buy yourself a snake - cats are terrified of them.My website has lots of info and photos from various Greek and Canary Islands esp. about walking. My profile has the site address cos not allowed to put it here.0
