    Scaredy Cat Plant

Apparantly these plants deter cats, I've just planted some but it's too early to tell if they work as yet, only been in about a week but so far no cat poo as far as I can tell.

I've tried the pepper on the lawn which does work, but you need to apply the pepper every time it rains so not great in this country!

The bottles full of water appeared to have no effect for me, water pistols are good but you need to lie in wait for the victims, so it's a bit boring!

One thing I did notice is that cats were coming into my garden to drink water from the kids sandpit which had turned into a lake with the heavy rain we had a few weeks back, I emptied the water after noticing this and the cats don't seem to like my garden so much now, worth bearing in mind if you have any possible sources of drinking water for cats?

    In my experience:

    Scent off - didn't work
    Scoot - didn't work
Get off My Garden - didn't work
Dried lion poo - can buy in the shops - didn't work

Ones sort of worked for a while:
    Mothballs
    Jeyes Fluid
    Colius Canina (Scardy Cat plant)
Super soaker filled with washing up liquid - when you catch them in the act that is.

    Best so far:
£20 ultrasonic alarm from B&Q - You have to turn it off when you are in the garden as humans can still hear it, but it's the only one that has worked for 3 weeks or more.

I now have a cat poo free lawn - yay!

We have put bamboo sticks in around the garden and run string around it.

I just need to now is to cut up some carrier bags and tie it to the string.

I am then hoping that this will keep the little devils out.

If all else fails hubby has just taken up archery so he might have a few moving target.*

*note I am joking I would never on purpose harm an animal.

this is a constant battle, especially if you dont have your own pets... (not including kids)

i find, keeping the grass short...... cats dont like it.

if you find the patches where they do manage to do their business.. (usually longer tufts) then sprinkle lions urine....... ground coffee granules...... garlic pepper.......

Yeah right. I will be sending out the bill out for collecting it and disposing of it. As every time it costs me a latex glove. And dead piece of grass.

Wonder how much I can charge. Is cat poo not classed as harzadous waste.

    Ummmmmmmmmmmm got me thinking now.

Personally I would rather touch cow and horse poo as they don't eat meat.

I am not aware of anyone going blind from touching cow and horse poo. Because if that was true then half the population of farmers and stable hands would all be blind.

Mind you one of the reasons for not having children was I could not deal with there poo.

    LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
