CSARINA - It's really not fair that you're having to wait for this machine - you must be having to draw on all your patience! Have you got a name for it - it looks as though it should have one!

DANNAHAZ - I found this post yesterday and both the sites recommended are brilliant for free samples of papers and other bits and pieces, ideal for cardmaking, scrapbooking and so on. I'm going to spend a day - and a lot of ink - downloading the free samples. Another good site is www.doversample.com (I think that's what it's called).

Evening all - hugs to all in need and  to al those celebrating.
Had a quiet day here today - got all my boot sale stuff sorted for tomorrow - it's a boot sale safari in the village so we get to do the sale in our drives and the people walk round the village - we've done it 3 years now and made a nice amount of money...hopefully it will be lovely in the morning and we can make some more!!!
I've made 15 cards this afternoon - had an order for a personalised wedding one and my friend is selling them all well at Farmers markets locally.
DH just made a lovely starter of thinly sliced beef tomatoes and mozerella with olive oil and garlic bread - got pizza for later this evening.
Looking forward to getting back into a routine next week when DD's get back to school, DH is off for another week which won't help but I can persuade him to get some jobs done.
Made £106 on quidco yesterday and have 2 ms jobs lined up for next week which should net me £25 + the purchases - one is £5 and one is up to £27!! I like getting paid to shop!
I would join in on the weight loss campaign but I've no idea how much I weigh - I threw the scales away ages ago but will be getting back into some sort of regime when I've got the time.
Hope you all have a great evening."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Oh my DH!!!!!
He's still pouting cause he feels hard done by - he's 'had to EVERYTHING today!' He doesnt seem to realize that we now own this place and that all the jobs he can't be bothered with doing during the week still have to be done, and no, he hasn't worked constantly all day - he's had several hours to do nothing but surf the net, just like I have had. But that's all he wants to do when hes not at work and its driving me nuts! Even 5 minute jobs like putting up the paper towel holder in teh kitchen took him 5 weeks to get around to doing, and he seems to think that mowing the grass (its about a 7 minute job!) once a week is too often, even though it needs to be done...................0 -
Hi Chums its that lop-sided old baggage from Kent back from her holidays.:D I had a great time in Sheringham with my DD and family and arrived back home a couple of hours ago absolutely cream-crackered.I had to have a quick peek to see what's been going on whilst I was lazing around in sunny Norfolk. Just stuck a machine wash-load on and have poured myself a little libation to celebrate my return home.
I have been knee-deep in little boys for a week, and now it's back to normality on Monday with a trip to the local hospital to get a bit of drainage done .Thursday I am off to Maidstone Hospital to see the oncologist and to hear what small delights he has lined up for the forthcoming months .
Oh well best make my G&T a larger one:D as I'll have to knock it on the head once they start stuffing me full of chemo, still fingers crossed it won't be for too long.
I hope you have all been behaving and doing lots of OS'ing in my absence, me, I have been spending it like water for a week and spoiling my tribe rotten :rotfl: .Sheringham is a great place for an old-fashioned beach and buckets and spades type holiday and we all had a great time but it ain't cheap, and a round of cornets every day for 8 of us soon add up, but hey it's only once a year and the kids had a smashing time. :j
Still its back on the straight and narrow now as soon Christmas will be looming and I shall start my Christmas shopping as soon as I can whilst I am still able to get about.
I have made a start on the cards already and it's something I can do whilst sitting down which is good .I still can't knit though which is a nuisance, as I love knitting but my right arm is still very sore where the nerves were cut when the lymph nodes came out
If that could be sorted I would be a lot happier as I do love my knitting and the Linus Project that I knit for will be short of a few blankets this winter .I had a lovely letter from the area organiser and she thanked me for the ones I had made in the last year. its such a worthwhile cause and every blanket goes to a child in need.
Just looked out of the window and realised how the nights are drawing in, its just before 8,00p.m. and its almost dark. Oh well it will be nice to have some nice soups and stews on the go once it starts getting colder. My conservatory is very nice and airy and bright so I can sit in it and pretend its still summer for a little while longer. I have a radiator in there so I will be warm enough.I have a huge pile of books to get through and a reading list as long as your arm from my college tutor so I won't be too bored being stuck indoors.
I hope everyone had a good bank-holiday week-end .<<hugs>> to those who need them and a big  and ato those who don't

Well, busy day today. DS and Partner on first flight from Dublin this morning so out the house just before 7.30 to pick them up (an hour plus drive). We then set off to Perth to visit Mum in hospital with a beforehand visit to my sister so have basically been on the road all day - I am knackered. I hate to think how many miles I have covered - I know I have driven 5 hours at least today.
Interesting fact - people have been taking in flowers to Mum but they are banned. Reason behind it is that the water gets dirty and may contain infection so if nurses change water could get contaminated! So a total ban. Anything that may stop MRSA is a good thing. There are some really poor souls in Mum's ward today - thank goodness she looks so good and gets the procedure done next week. She was so touched we all went up today - not expecting me and DGS and partner a bonus for her.
So I do hope you are all OK - as you can imagine haven't even had a chance to dip in.
Love and hugs to you all.

Hi Jackie
Been keeping up with you - you are an inspiration. Yes. I am glad they are keeping infection down in the wards but when the hospital shop sells flowers! I have taken in practical things to Mum like her pineapple juice and the Scots Mag (she is not a great reader but she likes to dip in to this).
Your have a bigger mountain to climb and I am with you all the way. Been there and done it with close friends!
Love
