A big downer just now - my brother was supposed to phone Mum in hospital from the States today at 4.00 pm. She was so excited, talked about it when we were there, and he hasn't done it. My sister and I had it set up so the staff would bring her to the phone. I am really upset. Does he not realise his 82 year old Mum is really quite ill?

Just walked the dogs, Nipper our jack russell managed to kill a squirrel while we were out:mad: and then he wouldn't loose it go, DH had to pry his jaws apart to get him to drop it!

Plans for tomorrow are to go booting in the morning, got 2 lined up then off into Hereford to Asda to stock up as its like Old Mother Hubbards here at the moment!:D

Off for a soak in the bath now

grannybroon, wishing the best for your mum. It's a shame your bother's call didn't come through, perhaps there were problems with the international connection? I know it doesn't happen much these days, but it's a nicer thought than your brother just forgetting. Put your feet up now, that's a lot of driving!!!

frogga, loving your new avatar! Good luck with the weight-loss. I lost several stones 6 years ago, but have piled loads back on since I gave up smoking:o Might think about joining you AFTER my holiday!:D

good luck for next week JackieO - personally I think you should work out how many units you are going to miss when you're not allowed to drink and pour yourself a very very very large one or two.

fairly productive day today - have sorted out half the cupboards in the kitchen, laundry is up to date and I have knitted two thirds of a sock - well done me!

Not in my house they didn't!!! I even trained Teddy the cat to go and lie between them. I want to be the first to "burn 100 calories" in this house :rotfl::rotfl:

CM It was this year we came over and I"m not telling you how much weight I lost on the plane. I was just being helpful to Kyle. I'm sure Twink would have given her the same tip.

I haven't got a picture of Mitzi yet, but until I do have a good one, here is a picture of Teddy & Dylan. Dylan is the white one with a black nose, Teddy is the ginger long-haired cuddly looking one. Dylan doesn't like being looked at therefore it's hard to get a good picture of him, but this one isn't too bad. Teddy is an absolute poseur...



BTW I am even more pickleder than before so I hope that this turns out alright...

Am trying to resize, but in my pickledom I can't work out if I am actually doing anything, lol... I really need to lie down now...
