Greetings, Its quite a nice morning 'oop North although forecast is dodgy, and I was thinking of doing my 1st car boot.
SMOKEYBABE Idid my Nurse training at MRI and my Midwifery at ST Mar's next door. Its good news about it being there as it is a huge teaching hospital with a good reputation, my Dad had his kidney transplant there and we couldn't have hoped for better care.
MRI is quite near the city centre and is next to Manchesters famous curry mile. Its a very cosmopolitan area and there are millions of students so there are loads of buses and cheap shops like Aldi within walking distance if you need to get any bits.
If you need any help, let me know. love DeeDee xxxxearn what you can, save what you can, give what you can :hello:0 -

Still getting ready for my holiday next week. Went shopping for T-shirts yesterday, came back with a ridiculously cheap set of Sabatier knives:rotfl: It would have been rude to refuse the bargain;)
Well must be off, ((((((hugs))))))) to all that need them,

Anniebooklover, it isn't that the companies or the people there are rude, but that they probably get so many letters from hopefuls they can't answer the ones they don't want to go any further with; they would have to hire a person to just answer them; and that isn't financially feasable. And a 'no' letter would just get someones hopes up only to dash them.
And an email isn't as professional as a paper letter, even nowadays, when cold-calling for jobs.0 -

Morning All,
Happy anniversary Mr&Mrs Aussielass! 26yrs!
Early morning sunshine has disappearedLousy night sleep - OH still lying in trying to catch up on the week of bad sleep he's had. PsychoKitty tried sucking my pj collar by by neck last night...and then hands and fingers. Wonder if he'll grow out of this. Now I'm up he's nicely asleep on my lap acting as a very hot water bottle.
Painted yesterday.Took ages to do one coat and lower back hurt from doing ceiling. Got a bit bored when power went off for a whole hour so no tv to distract me! Will get OH to help me move bed to get to rest of white paint. Might get the last coats done today - please oh please!
Other than that a MrT visit today or tomorrow. No other plans. Suppose I ought to work out what to have for T.
Have a good one.0 -
FBthree, if you got psychokitty really young, he wont' grow out of suckling things as he was taken away from mum too young. Ours was 6 weeks old and he still does it 3 years on. you can teach him not to suck on your fingers if you dab a bit of something sour, bitter or vinegary on them and let him try it a couple of times a day for a few days - he'll remember that those fingers don't taste very good and he should stop. OUrs still loves soft fleecy materials - once tried to drag my heavy terrycloth bathrobe out of the bathroom and down the stairs but couldn't as he was too small!0

And how do I add the sig at the bottom??0

Morning all:hello:
Frogga....I too will be joining you on your weight loss challenge, I too am over weight and in desperate need to loose some as it is making me unhappy and it is starting to effect my confidence...It doesnt help when I step on the scales and reminded that I am heavier now than what I was when I was 9 months pregnant  I have just weighed myself and I am 18st exactly  I am not sure how I should work out an ideal weight for myself so any help would be appreciatedmy height is 5ft 9
Anyway back on topic...It is a nice sunny day in Folkestone today so going to take full advantage and get WM on and give the slabs on the patio a good clean
I managed to sort all DS toy boxes out yesterday..so I shall be listing toys on Ebay later today..I managed to get 2 bin liners full of toys that he has out grown  so I told my DH and my mum that he is not to have anymore toys till christmas as it is silly the amount he has got
I also started my christmas shopping yesterday..got DS a bob the builder scooter from Littlewood that was reduced to £20
My plans for today are: Get WM on and clothes out on line, Get the pressure washer out and give the pation a good clean
Have a quick tidy round in living room and kitchen
Make the beds..Hoover through out the house
Bath DS, Prepare lunch, List items on Ebay, Prepare dinner for tonight
Then off to work at 5
Hope everyone has a good weekend

Morning all...........(((((((((((HUGS))))))))))) if you need one, happy anniversary Mr and Mrs Aussie Lass have a good day............
I did finally get back to sleep around 4am, feel a bit frigile this morning, but I will survive. I am going to have to alter my sewing corner slightly, the machine has an arm on it which moves out to the back, at the moment I have a bookcase on top of the table, I am going to have to replace it with shelves, fortunately I have enough wood to do it, just need to find a man!!!!! now now to put the shelves up ...naughty naughty.............
I need to look in the FAQ to find out how to post a photo......otherwise if you are interested go to Janome.co.uk and look for the 1100, all the gough is there. I have lusted after the machine ever since it came out 3 years ago. I dare say it will be superceeded eventually..........and cost more than the present one.......my friend in Canada has one and loves it............OH is already planning what I can do with it since he read the splurge on the internet..........I told him he is going to have to learn to cook, I am not going to have time.............
OH bowling this afternoon, so I am going to clean up my old machine, it needs lint cleaning out of the bobbin race and the tool box tidying out. If I manage to get the shelves put up I should be able to get my old machine on the bottom shelf so it will not need to go in the loft???????????? I will see....
Please can someone point me towards the bit on the site which tells you how to post photographs??????????very grateful...............September grocery budget........trying for £80, not sure if I will make it though!!!!! I certainly did not last month, lost track of the final bill. Will do better this month honest.
