Hi Princessmoneysaver sounds as though congratulations are in order. Do hope you and little one are doing well. Thanks for the good wishes for this year a few wins in the Inn so far.

Wingo I feel like Alfie. Your son should not have to be going through thus. I just hope your DD2.gets into another school.

Well we were back home late this evening as we came back to pick up DD1s Son from school. She was home late from work and we have only just eaten. It was dark and foggy in parts there this morning? Then on way back it poured down but not that cold.

A quiet day tomorrow. I feel like you Rose it's going to be online shopping.

We have booked a break soon Sheils. To somewhere along the coast from Malaga not sure of the name of the place but that's where we are flying to. This was a bit last minute but not as last minute as Rose's holiday. Still a very good deal. We are booked to go to our favourite island, Madeira, in the summer.

Wingo I think the children love activities. Some places abroad are ok for just around the pool.its not easy pleasing everyone.

Alfie pleased you were in garden yesterday as our DD2 thinks there is going to be snow your and her way end of week. I really don't like snow simply because of the ice and risk of falling. That's what getting older does for you.

    Good luck everyone.

Evening all. Had a bit of luck in Lidl's . Ds came down with some dishes and containers of mine as GK's want soup lasagne etc. So he then took me to s/market to get what I needed for them. Manager who I trained years ago in the coop came out and said. do you want some flowers. So joking I said whats the catch. He then said he was clearing out as he had a big order coming in tomorrow. So son and I got two black buckets full. I have filled all my vases and DS is of to dil's mum and gran to give them some. He also gave us some end of line christmas food as they only have a couple of days left on them and have not cleared at reduced prices. So have salmon venison and some other goodies in freezer for 1p each. Ds got some as well as he knows him from school. Reckon we got about £200 + between the two of us. He was not allowed to give them for free to staff so he was only charging them 1p per item. I asked him about the homeless shelter and the church that does meals for homeless and those not so well off. He told me the usual retailer reply he was not allowed to donate them in case of problems with keeping them at correct temp and peeps becoming ill. I still think it is shocking that retailers still have this attitude. I remember years ago we used to donate veg to donkey sanctuary and were stopped from doing this as well. An elderly man at the packing area where Ds and I were was given some as well so told him to cut things up in to pieces and freeze them when he got home. So he was going to phone his DS to come over and fix it for him.

I agree Leanfun, the snow looks nice when it first lays and it's nice for a white Xmas but when it turns to slush and ice it's a PITA! Hope your family are feeling lots better now xx

Hiya PMS  nice to see you in here. I was wondering how you are and if you had the baby as I've not seen you on fb much. Congratulations on your little miracle :A

I should start doing online shopping too Rose/fire**fly, DH decides to do shopping while I'm at work and gets nothing that the kids like or enough to last the week! :o Thank goodness we have a farmfoods and Iceland near by!

Thanks everyone regarding DS. The school is really annoying and I'm still waiting for their return phone call! I asked son if they put him in consequence room when he came home and he said no, he just went to lessons as normal and no one even apologised for getting him mixed up with other kid or nothing was said. I just hope DD2 gets in the better school that she wants as I don't want her going there. I won't find out until March 1st.
I was going to do a bit of comping but I've just realised that I have coursework to do from the course I'm doing Tuesdays! :p I better get cracking!
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

ff just shows you there are times when you know someone very well there are perks but hate that supermarkets do not donate their food to those that need instead of going to landfill. Wingo good luck with course work and hope everything settles down for DS. Takes a lot to rile me but I would be going for their throat if it persisted. Especially if I contacted them for answers and was ignored. Your Ds cannot feel comfortable in a situation like that. When my son was being bullied at primary school I didn't know about it until one day I came home from work to pick up DS from my mums and she told me about the state he came home in from school. So mum went to this childs grans house a few doors away and told her what had happened . When I got home I went as well and actually told his gran to get him out and let the two of them settle it. He was shaking like a leaf because he was on his own and never had him or his little gang bother DS again. I know it is not the same but schools should be held accountable for what happens within their walls and the time they are there. After all you are supposed to trust them when yoiur child is there. Education is not a one way street.

Morning everyone, we had fog and rain yesterday, it was scary driving to work as not that far away but people were driving without lights and i nearly hit a cyclist who was coming the wrong way down the road towards me without any lights on his bike.Good job the fog cleared for when i came home. You got some great bargains there rose,in the right place at the right time cames to mind. I have 3 days off now and lots to catch up with in that time. Hope you all have a lucky day. Nearly forgot, i won a hobgoblin t-shirt last night on the instant..lol

    Good Morning,

Looks like it is going to be a wet miserable day here. Supposed to dry up by 3pm! Wish they would make their mind up about the snow as I wanted to book a night away on Sunday to go with a Gateshead one on Monday.
Driving in fog is a nightmare indie especially when idiots don't put their lights on.

Great freebies rose. Only thing I got recently was a huge roast pork for £4. Cut it into 3 and froze two of them. The first third was delicious!

Running out of food here so will need to go shopping this morning,
DS2 says they were really busy in their cafe yesterday and have repeat customers already. His gf especially is really enjoying herself as she is such a social person and had been in an office the last year. It is a relief all is going well especially as they are working in an unfamiliar town so no friends and family to support them. We will make a visit at the end of the month.
    Wishing everyone lots of luck.
