Happy New Year everyone. Been on holiday. Booked a last minute deal. Had ten days in Gran Canaria. Got so fed up with miserable weather here. Had 24 hrs to get organised and packed but managed it. DS took friend and I to airport and picked us up again yesterday. Took tablet with me but they were charging a fortune for internet connection so didn't bother. Hope everyone is well. Will have a read back later.0

Rosemac - Happy New Year! Don't blame you for wanting some sun & glad to read that you & your friend had a great time.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

That's great Rose that you got a last min holiday! Them ones are usually the best, sounds wonderful
That's a shame fire**fly that you didn't get an extra surprise with your shop. You would think they would treat their regulars anyway! I don't know what anyone else got as I don't think anyone mentioned anything but I did see it mentioned a couple of times that they were going to surprise lots of people (probably one of those scams!)
Sheils, our local paper generally puts an ad anyway when someone new is opening a new venture and other firms generally congratulate it. It would be nice if your local paper done that for your sons cafe.
Glad you had a good time at the panto Leanfun. I bet the kids loved it! I can imagine how expensive the trains are especially with their recent increase. Thankfully I don't need to use trains.
I've been to take DD2 to her gymnastics club then we went down to seafront near the gym fo a bit. It was actually quite warm with a blazing sun for a change! I've just read that we supposed to be getting 4" of snow so I suppose it does get warmer before it snows.Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
lol wingo, we did have a special treat free with a box
of strawberries/cream/drink etc last year but
I can't remember what special day/events it was for,
maybe the xmas one wasn't for the delivery savers that
i'm on could have been just the ones who order weekly without the delivery saver,
we do get early notification of a priority slot for xmas though
being on delivery saver so at least we can get our order in before any other slots are taken up
did find this though
https://www.tescoplc.com/news/news-releases/2016/christmas-night-in-gift-box/
so it looks like the gifts are randomly sent out for different
things
sounds lovely being near seafront with the sun today
for you :dance:please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Good evening all, been a busy day here cooking Sunday lunch for family. DD helped sort a load of clothes for charity shop which don't fit anymore so a good day all round.
Wingo, we didn't watch The Voice in the end we watched Casulaty like Sheils. Love Holby City as well.
Thats bad you not getting a suprice from Tesco firefly as you a regular cusstomer.
Glad Puddy is feeling better Alfie.
Sounds like you had a lovely time last night leanfun.
Good on you book a late holiday Rose and that you had a good time, the Sun does you good.
Have a lovely evening all and have a lucky week.BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
love the pic/quote sylv thanks
we've had surprises with our deliveries before sylv so I
think it's randomly spread out,
last year when we got the crumpets/strawberries etc &
neighbour didn't get one & she has Tesco delivered each week,
was thinking at first it was depending on which delivery service you use but have been looking it up & seems like it's
def random for all online customers :T
sounds like you've been busy with family today :Aplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0
