Good luck to your DS Sheils with his cafe and perhaps one day he will gave his own restaurant too :)

Hope you enjoyed Peter Pan Leanfun :)

How's the puddy Alfie? Hope she's feeling better. Xx

Sylvia, I will keep a look out for mattress comps and let you know too! They don't last long nowadays!

I meant to ask fire**fly, did you get anything extra in your Xmas shopping order with tesco? I read somewhere they were giving thousands of their customers who order online something extra with their shopping. :)

Hope you're ok Rose, we've not heard from you xx

I was watching a bit of the voice but got bored with it so did my ironing instead! Saturdays always go too quick.
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

    Hellooeee everyone

Hope you're all ok ..... it's very foggy outside at the mo. :p

I've got a fairly busy day here of cleaning my abode smileys-household-478683.gif
catching up with comps ordi1fun.gif and sorting out/filing away
papers etc that are piled high on my desk and desperately
    need clearing up! :p

    Aww - many thanks fire**fly :A .... I'll most prob be
pottering around in the garden later too so will be lovely to
have some of your saved sunshine today while I'm out doing
    this n' that. :D

My puddy cat seems to have more or less recovered wingo :A
and getting back to her naughty ways thank goodness - hate
it when pets are under the weather - always a worry. xx

I ended up watching The Voice yesterday evening - put Gary
Barlow programme on first ('Let It Shine')and was so
disappointed - thought it was a shambles. Such a
shame - hope it improves as time goes on.

The only thing I disliked about The Voice was the fact that
when none of the judges pressed their buttons to turn
around - the chairs stayed facing away leaving the
contestant(s) to just walk off without even hearing why
none of the judges liked their style.

When the programme was on the beeb at least the chairs
turned back to face the contestants - even if it was for a
    brief hello/goodbye etc!

It must have been so embarrassing for the singers and not
sure that the judges felt awfully comfortable about it either.
It seemed quite a cruel way to do things! Guess that's
    show business! :undecided

Well - that's my rant over for the day! :rotfl:

Have a wonderful day all and take care - will catch up
    soon. :)

    Morning. Dull here so far.

We had a great night at the National Theatre for Peter Pan. Once again brilliant seats. Row A in the Circle. DGS was so enthralled with everything. I didn't know he had such a loud laugh. The other girl with us enjoyed it too. It wasn't the traditional story but an adaptation. The musicians playing background music were brilliant too. Another great night out thanks to comping.

Yesterday Pinkzie had a posting about Tru Diamond voucher she had 'won' in a competition some while ago and their sale. Well I had 'won' one of those and was able to order a £109 pendant reduced to £59 for £9 plus £6.95 delivery. DD1 loves things like this so I was well pleased. Will see what it's like might keep it for myself.

Well another hectic day ahead. We are taking them back as although trains are not too bad Sunday bus service is poor where they are living.

Hope we hear from Rose Wingo.

Will look out for mattress comps. Reminded me of when we bought our last bed. DH found a very expensive king sized bed massively reduced in a department store closing down sale. After work despite the snow he took me along to see it. Well I got up from trying it out and said it's quite soft. DH no it's firm. We both tried again same response.
Sales assistant came along greeting us with this is a very special bed. I thought well it should be with an original price tag of over £3k. Sales assisstant goes on one side of mattress is firm other side is medium or something like that is printed on it. Lo we had both stuck to our own sides of the bed!

Sheils word will soon get around about good food.

Hope everyone has a lucky week.

    Good Morning,

Looking a lot brighter today as mist has gone,

Glad you enjoyed the theatre leanfun.

I only watched "Casualty" last night Alfie. The only soaps I watch are it and Corrie.

Hope everyone has a lovely day.

Thanks leanfun, Alfie and FF re DS2's cafe. Been worrying all day. He opened at 9am and only had 1 customer before 10am so bit panicky! They were really busy at lunch time though which was great for first day for cafe that has been closed. He was told the town was quiet today too so he was quite chuffed. They want to be able to run it themselves, to start with anyway.
He is really a 2 Rosette standard chef so people will be getting great food, beautifully served on the plate.

He should contact the local newspaper (Falkirk Herald) and see if they might want to do an article.

Best wishes to your DS2 on his new venture! :)

Need to pay attention the next time I'm in town - what's the cafe called?
A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.
