Well it hasn't been cold here, just wet, windy and miserable!
We did manage to get out for short walks although got a little wet at times.
Have just been to feed DD's cat as they are away to see some comedy show in Glasgow. Their train was delayed by an hour.
DS2 was delayed getting to his cafe because of the lorry blocking the Forth Road Bridge. He doesn't have to cross it but all the traffic was having to go his way so pretty hectic even early on. Not a good travelling day.

Enjoy some gin rose, can't stand it myself. Got to be vodka or wine for me. Used to like Bacardi in cocktails!

one of the neighbours had made a gin cocktail at Christmas
which i'd never tasted before & have to admit it's really nice & refreshing
got the recipe off her for the summer months :dance:
simple to do it's just the juice of a lime,
mint leaves, a tablespoon sugar, shot of gin & some Prosecco,
you just mix the lime juice, mint leaves & sugar together
put in cocktail shaker with ice & gin,
then pour in a chilled glass & top up with the Prosecco

thought it would be nice for you to try sheils
it's a lovely refreshing drink & you can't much taste the gin
as the ingredients all seem to compliment each other

It's been extremely windy here too Sylvia, the dog refused to go out and the garden is full of leaves and litter from somewhere! It's freezing so looks like we are getting snow tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks for the fairy dust fire**fly :A I will use it on the lottery for tonight! I like the idea of that gin cocktail! :drool: I've only ever tasted gin once too when I won a bottle on a raffle in a club so we all decided to drink it there and then and it was nice with lemonade!

Alfie hope puddy is back to her normal self now. I imagine she won't want to go out in the wind and cold weather. I don't even wanna go out in it!

Did anyone watch Corrie? What a powerful performance from Michelle and it must have been very difficult to do after losing a baby in real life too.
I might go and have a nice hot bath to warm up. There's only so long I can have the heating on before bills hit the roof! It's the kids bedrooms that are more cold unfortunately.

lol, I meant i'd never tasted the gin cocktail drink before,
have had gin & tonic/gin drinks etc before but never had that cocktail one

I'm just watching 'caught on camera on tv and the amazing things that have happened such as freak weather accidents and there's an ostrich chasing some cyclists which looks really funny!
