Thanks. Originally, I thought that the avatar was Michael's DW. :o!
I think one of the reasons I first thought Michaels was a woman was because I thought it was him!
Then I, too, thought maybe it was his wife/partner etc.
Then I wasn't sure, which is why I asked!

Erm nope, he actually owns only one shirt!

I did point out to him that he doesn't possess anything that he could wear the cufflinks with but he just replied "Shiny......"

Maybe it will prompt him to want to purchase more shirts, we can only hope eh? :rotfl:
    Is his nickname 'Magpie'? :D

We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

I just tried and failed to find a link to a brilliant Punch cartoon I saw years ago. It was in a competition where readers were invited to send in new captions to very old cartoons. (No idea now why I was looking at Punch, i think it must have been in a dentist's waiting room or something.)

Anyway, the cartoon with its new caption showed two early Victorian bucks squaring up to each other in a tavern or similar, cascades of lace dangling from their sleeves, and the "referee" was saying "All right, all right, I'll settle the argument and say Peregrine has the prettier cuffs."

Shame, it was so funny but you really need to see it!

Interesting prog on at the mo......came across it by accident. "Find It, Flog It, Fix It", Channel 4, where a pair of bods find stuff. E.g. In garages, and fix it up to sell/upcycle etc.

Try an old potato oven, an old petrol pump and a gilt-framed mirror.
Be interesting to see how this varies from other similar progs.
They do seem to be real antiquey/collectible things, though.

    Where's Pastures?

The old potato oven does seem interesting, though.

Edit...They've found an old cine film of Covent Garden market in .1962.
They say it's worthless! (But fascinating).

Bit harsh referring to PN as antiquey, IMO :p:p:p

    :rotfl: irriot! :rotfl:

And I wasn't referring to her as an 'old potato oven' either! :p:p (even though she is interesting!)

The potato oven, which was a mobile baked potato oven, was restored to working order and sold for 2k, a profit of £1600.
(Apparently a new potato oven would cost about 8K).

Now it's Kate Humble on BBC2 'Wild Shepherdess' .

She's in Afghanistan finding out about the shepherds that live in the Wakhan Corridor.

I've not watched any of this series. She spends time with shepherds in some of the most extreme environments on Earth.

Looks interesting, so that's me not doing much again! :D

    Its history is fascinating....
