I was going to say where is everyone, and then I realised that, despite it having been dark for ages, it's still only 10 to six, and people are probably still on their way home! :rotfl:
Silly me! :rotfl:
When it gets dark, I think it's bedtime, which is a bit awkward in December when it's dark at 4pm! :rotfl:(I just lurve spiders!)

I was looking at the differences in daylight lengths between the North of Scotland and the South of England, and there is nearly an hour and a half difference in daylight length between Inverness and Truro on 21December..
(6 hrs 35 mins in Inverness, and 8 hrs 01 min in Truro).(I just lurve spiders!)

No idea how that happened.
I expected to wait until it was nearly done, then taste it and chuck something else in to change it. No need though.
Leaving it for another hour or so, on low ... while I ponder the idea of using the stick blender ... or not
You can do it, Pastures! We're here, looking over your shoulder!
Go for it! :j :j(I just lurve spiders!)

Always have.
Piers Morgan pondered yesterday morning whether people who were just keeping quiet about voting for Trump would win it for him. He called them the 'silent trumps'.
It's been making me smile since.0 -

This year I've already said I won't be going
If you like going, go. If you do not want to go, stick to what you've already said.
I am puzzled as to why you feel obliged to give a present to someone who never gives one to you. Why is that, do you think? What would happen if you didn't give them something?
Will delete if requested.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Pastures, well done for going for it! :T
Re. cleaning it, if it's like mine, it doesn't come apart.
What I do is........I use some clean warm water in a bowl and get the blender going in the warm water, as if the water were the soup.
That should get rid of most of the debris from the blender.
If there is any debris still on it, I unplug it and use a dish brush to rub around the blades. Then re-plug it and give it another whirr in some warm water.
It's best done straight after using, so that the soup doesn't have time to dry onto the blades.(I just lurve spiders!)

Rub plastic that has taken on food colour with oil to clean it.#
Today was a long day as trains were still broken from last night (apparently if you run 800v traction power through the signalling cable due to a short the signalling system is not improved) however compared to the Croydon tram I can't complain.I think....0 -
Is it worth adding a stock cube and thinning it a bit in order to make more? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? If it's any consolation, I am delegated to use the stick blender in our house, and I find it awfully easy to make a mess. It's less trouble than using the liquidiser, because there's less to clean, but there's not a lot in it by the time I've cleaned the worktop, the wall, and me, as well as the stick blender. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
