I thought the dovetailed joints on the 'ties' were lovely!

It's a great idea. I would be a bit concerned about how long the bark would stay on, though, in a centrally-heated house.

I did think the lounger made from sewage pipes cut in half was an incredible idea, and I liked the 'patination' on the back made by revealing different layers of paint.
I'll see if I can find a pic...........

Edit...... This is the frame. She made tubular cushions which sit in the grooves made by the downpipes cut in half.....

This shows the 'patination' on the backs of the half-pipes.....

That's excellent. Worth a few hundred quids as it is. Really, really nice. :)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I can't find a pic with the cushions in the grooves.

I think it cost £800 to make and they sold it for, if I remember correctly, £1200.

It was very nice, and in the right setting would look stunning.

What I couldn't get over was how someone actually thought of doing that with the downpipes! What a vision! :)

Even if I weren't grossed out by the fact it's made from sewage pipes ... it looks darned uncomfortable - and I bet it's a pain.

I'm working out though that NONE of these items are even bought by people to have in their homes.

It's a luvvie-club, where they've all ganged up to get free telly advertising. So the amounts are almost irrelevant as the value of the telly advertising and "associated with ... [each other]...." is worth its weight in gold to them.

None of the stuff ever needs to be sold. Any of those items can sit in their shops, unsold or used by them themselves, because it draws in customers ... and again with each repeat showing of the programme.

Many of the buyers don't seem to sell much to "regular people for homes" but are actually supplying props to various industries, such as photographers, fashion shoots, house makeovers and staging.

And that's what it's all about. If you made a list of the luvvies, then plotted their interactions you'd quickly discover whose dad works high up in the Beeb :)

But Pastures, that's not the point!

    The point is the ideas!

I don't like all the things they do, but some of the ideas they come up with are incredible! :)

I mean, the idea of making a lounger from cast-iron downpipes! It's brilliant!

(And they were cleaned first! :D)

Looking at how heavy/unwieldy and potentially uncomfortable I think it'd be, I'd have chopped them up to be 2/3rds of the length and made individual cute dog and cat feeding bowls - and put them on legs, like mangers. Or made planters from them.

Or used them to make fountain spouts sticking out of holes in nice stones/slate/whatever :)

The chair is actually really nice. I'd imagine it was something like the pillow rolls used to cushion it, like the packs of 2 you buy in the shops?

Had a long chat with my new 'direct' banking team today re business model, business plans, other effects etc. They seem really nice, and having had a Relationship Manager on maternity since June, it's been a nice change.

I'm one of the 'get on and do it, and leave someone else to sort the accounts' type of people, so being able to discuss plans to significantly grow in the next few years, how it's going to be done and what I'd like to see has been great. Awaiting a callback from an international team to discuss exporting some more, and I'm aware that UKEF products are now available on a smaller level with my bank now, as they can't provide direct (but can provide indirect) support, with additional third country guarantees.

    .

Yes! Quite firm ones, covered in lovely fabrics which complemented the patination colours.
The only I would have added would have been an extra pad at the very top.

I can see it in a large conservatory or a large room in a very modern house.

    (Not in mine, then!)

I agree it'a a very clever idea but can't help wondering if, after using them for a while, you'd feel all the ridges through the cushions.

I wish I could find a pic of the cushions, but ?I can't, and I've looked and looked.

The cushions were firm rolls which sat in the grooves, and completed the circle of the downpipe diameters.
So they sat very proud of the ridges.
Providing the foam used to make the cushions was a high density one, I don't think they'd compress much.
