Is that all?
Actually I'm waiting for rain up here, there's some due . I've got some rye grass green manure to sow on the veggie patch where the spuds were and on a front garden bed.
I had the best success with the last lot sowing it after rain had been but stopped briefly with more was on its way - the wet soil and further rain got the seeds germinated quickly and the rain kept the birds away so I didn't just get fat sparrows
The front garden bed is one that's usually hidden by the car so I kept forgetting to do anything with it. I've now cleared it out except for some reasonably OK bushes and plan to put the green manure in for over the winter, partly to keep the weeds at bay and partly to dissuade the local moggies from using it as their toilet. In the spring I'll dig that lot in and plant thyme - supposedly perennial, hardy, low maintenance and good ground cover. Time (or thyme, maybe) will tell :T0 -

Must be raining heavily, flippy switch went on the fuse board - garden lights seem to be the culprit. Garden lights?
Do they warrant a posh alert?0 -

Everyone else got up and went to church at 8.30, I opened the window so I could hear the gentle patter of rain and now I have just opened the curtains to a beautiful sunny day so I'm not sure what you lot have been on about. Probably lucky I cut the grass yesterday though.I think....0 -

We had what I'd describe as a prolonged heavy shower, I got my seeds deposited then it really tipped it down for a while.
Nice and sunny now, that wasn't forecasted - so I've bunged in the last of my bulbs, almost. The "real" last ones need soaking overnight first, so that's a job for tomorrow - if two minutes of poking small bulbs into earth can really be called a job.0
