michaels, now would be a good time to hit gumtree or wherever to get your laural trimmed.

    :T

Just been getting the succah bits out of the garage. It's going to be too cold to use, though, I fear.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

From the 1st November Santander 1-2-3 becomes 1-2-1.5% costing us £900pa. Our other cash savings are now getting 2/2.25% compared to 3% a year ago costing us more than 2k pa - all changes since this time last year.
    It is just depressing :(

    Tell me about it.

NatWest wrote to me a while ago, advising that from this month they are going to be exceedingly generous and give me 0.01% on my accounts - so I emptied said accounts other than a working buffer and bunged it in my S&S ISA, to buy decent divvie paying stocks instead.

Not that I had intended to leave much in NatWest anyway, it's just where my flat sale proceeds had initially landed.

I, of course, would never admit to having written "This car needs a clean" in the dirt on someone's car when a child. :o

Or as an adult, of course ... *whistles innocently* [can't get smillies to work]

    Good luck PN.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Oh I know that one so well, should have heard the humphs when we went on the interview/audition days for Josh as we were holding everything up.

Only went on one open day for Josh and that was an applicant open day at the same uni James goes to, so he was our personal guide and we avoided the complaints from other parents.

If you're planning to go to Greenwich with youngest, perhaps you could ring in advance and explain the situation. They may be able to arrange for someone to show you round on your own, at your own speed, unless youngest would hate that.

michaels I bet you're either grinding your teeth, as Yorkie says, or else clenching them. If that's the case, your dentist can make you a guard to protect your teeth and jaw from damage (and pain!).

PN I hope your internet behaves better tomorrow!

Well it's all very annoying. The PC was booting up, but then processes would seize control of it and wouldn't give it back. I did everything.... reboots, CCleaners, let the Avira thing run, tried to shut down processes before they kicked off ..... things were hanging, it'd take nearly half an hour to shut down at times.

I've got it working for now though .... I suspect there might be some hardware thingy that's about to fail catastrophically. I really should investigate buying a new PC, except I don't know how to choose one - and I've not used any modern OSs, so scared of them as I have tried to use my sibling's laptop in the past and failed catastrophically to understand how to use the darned thing.

Bring back XP .... there's nowt wrong with XP ....

EDIT: Managed to uninstall Avira and reinstall it. That seems to have been the root of the problem... but as it gets control of processes before you can it can be difficult to outwit it so you can uninstall it :) .... got it in the end though.

It would be more at the speed youngest would be able to push me in the wheelchair, which at times can be far too fast. Not sure he would stay away from walls or doors but he can generally keep up :rotfl:

And yes, he hates all kinds of special arrangements.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
