I have some cardboard boxes of "stuff" to send to Germany. (About 600 miles by road.) A small van-load. What's the most economical way to do this, folks? None of it is particularly well wrapped, by the way.
Find a German delivery/ removal company who could be going "back" with an empty van.
This is apparently an auction site for German removers.
Alternatively, how about seeing if a national removal company will take a part load.

If you want to pass your genes on, it's obviously a good idea to look after your offspring. Which may mean keeping them close to home.
Yet, every so often a catastrophe happens, and the offspring who are not so close to home are the ones that survive. So, giving your offspring opportunities to roam may also be a good way to pass your genes on. Maybe when the offspring are a bit older than 6, though.
I suspect if I let my daughter's wander the streets when they get a bit bigger that would be the quickest way for me to make sure my genes get passed onI have some cardboard boxes of "stuff" to send to Germany. Smile nicely at Bugslet?I must admit, it really pi$$es me off when parents allow their kids to be a nuisance to neighbours.
I would have died rather than allow mine to kick a ball at a neighbour's fence or mess around by their cars.
Not only that, but it is soooo stressful, waiting for the doof doof to start up, or the screeches, and wondering what's happening to your car.
I had a tiny weeny experience of this in past years, and that was with older children whose parents I knew, and whom I could speak to if it got too much, and that was bad enough.

Thanks, SC. The loadup site brought up
"Vehicle heading out empty to the Netherlands to collect a job able to load UK 23rd/24th/25th November for delivery 2 days later. Into Germany, France, Poland etc etc. Up to 37 cubic metres available please email. mitch(at)bmceuropean.com "
So, I'm sending mitch an email.
I'd love to piggy-back on one of Bugslet's lorries, but I suspect that the people she carries for wouldn't approve. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

.... we have had our front drive paved and put up a basketball hoop and it is not unknown for us to go out and sink a few baskets on a warm summer's evening....
Within the confines of your own specific boundary, that's not so bad - but if you had, say, a shared driveway with a neighbour and your ball was bashing their car when it was parked off the shared driveway and in their area and your kids were climbing all over it to get it back .... while another of your kids had 2 friends over with bikes also cycling round the neighbour's car .... and another 4-5 random kids turned up with an assortment of bicycles, balls and scooters ... that's where the line'd be crossed. And if said ball went over the fence of the neighbour and the kids simply climbed over their fence to get it back, that's crossed the line.
And if the neighbour had to clear debris and cr4p and move abandoned bicycles and toys from said driveway to get in/out .... that's a nuisance ... and to wonder if kids'd be sliding off their bonnet, or writing their name in the wet/dirt on the car, or potentially piling up your winter logs on the bonnet .... nuisance, not play.0 -

I, of course, would never admit to having written "This car needs a clean" in the dirt on someone's car when a child. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Nothing so intelligent on mine... but, whether I choose to clean my car or not (not done it so far, but only owned it 6 years) is up to me.
I've got a football imprint on the bonnet and some random squiggle lines (halted as I saw them and shouted OI!! from the bedroom window).0 -
Stage one complete - Hotel booked for Lincoln city center.
Stage two yet to do - Book train tickets.
Open days could get very expensive!
Youngest booked up for the open day at his number 2 choice university, it's all becoming rather real...my baby, university, gulp!
One of his favourites has now become 5th favourite, the surroundings are lovely but the issues with further accomodation, ranking, quality of course and hassles to get to by car are hitting home.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
