That's more about having a lot of experience of recognising "threat" from the lower life forms, having spent a lot of time among them...

    :)

There can be a certain "shiftiness" about the gait of a feral, whereas a better bred person has more of a "poised yet jaunty" walk. Too much of a jaunty walk indicates drugs. :)

I was also in a good mood as I'd just eaten a pub pie which was very nice, so feeling charitable :)

Why do you want to delete a random act of kindness?

I thought that was a very nice thing to do. :T

Must admit, I would like to give general lifts to people, like in the olden days when I did a bit if hitchhiking, but daren't, of course, even to women.

However, in your case, Pastures, I think you were right. You summed up the situation with his body language and saw no threat. You are more intuitive than you think! :)

A man and his young son were hauling shrubbery down the hill to the tip, which is about a 10+ minute walk from me - he had that look of 'I've started so I'll finish but why did I think this was a good idea', so I let him throw it in the back of the van and dropped them and the shrubbery outside the tip.

I've given lifts to all sorts, men ,women, men with dogs....if I don't have to turf lots out of the footwell to let them in, I have no problem. Still alive and met some interesting and some dull people. Win all round.

I once gave a lift to a woman walking through the high street of our town with suitcases to her bed and breakfast for the night. The weather was horrible, she looked exhausted and was horribly lost (she had asked several people the way) so I offered a lift...the boys spent the entire time ready and willing to defend me in case she got eeky.

She was a bit of the wall but harmless.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Is it easy to see the gait of someone while they are carrying a wendy house?

After reading this I am now going to be analysing the gait of everyone I see.

Well, actually, he wasn't walking. Gait was the wrong word, I think it was stance really ... didn't have the stoop of Fagin :)

Telly programme, BBC1, showing people how to save money.

Retired woman took a lump sum and has got through it all now ...

Good on her! Spending the kids (or taxman's) inheritance. What else would she do with it?

The problem for her was that she'd spent the lump sum .... and now wished to continue that lifestyle but no longer had that sum to dip into to pay for what she wanted.
