You should consider an extended break in the NT or Queensland, they have mental weather there.
Don't tempt me!
If I was guaranteed a job I'd book my flight tomorrow. I've 2 friends who, separate from each other, done exactly that. They both loved it. Met the partner of their dreams and live the life they dreamed of. I've contemplated it often.0 -
My broadband's been going up and down like a yo-yo and has finally settled at less than half what it was before
Funny you should say that, but yesterday and this morning I've lost my broadband completely! Yesterday I did a reboot of the whole PC "just to be sure" - and this morning I just waited it out and it was back 2-3 minutes later.
Hadn't connected broadband with weather!0 -
A colleague said there was a tweet from BT saying there were issues with their whole BB network.I think....0

silvercar We had very high gas bills and thought it was just because of the cost of gas, but it turned out we had a leak in one of the pipes  and had to decamp to a hotel for a couple of nights (as it was winter), while it was fixed,
It might be an idea to have your gas supply checked just in case0 -

I suspect it is because we use gas to heat our house that has solid walls with no cavities to fill. Add to that the rooms we use most are north facing.
Eon has a comparison of similar homes nearby and we are well within the range.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. In Aus I reckon I'm good if it's 5C-38C. The weather should be hotter than my fridge and colder than me!0 -

While I appreciate it's a great way of communicating, if you can't get on it's like a chocolate fireguard.
Apparently it was the DNS so you could change your ip settings to use the google DNS servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
I had somethign similar with skyBB 2 nights ago and found th DNS was hard coded on my router but obviosuly you can change it on individual PCs but harder for STBs and other devices.I think....0 -
I guess most of us resort to our phones when we lose broadband in which case low badwidth stuff is useful.
