But if there was something dodgy about the sale then it is almost certainly not market price either so not something to worry about in terms of what you paid.
Not dodgy, but something unusual went on. e.g. maybe a family member bought it and they lived there until he was mortgageable or something, so then maybe it was sold at a pre-agreed/arranged price (not market value). They're a family with kids, he's late 40s at a guess.
But, the people who just bought won't know that, all they would see would be what Z told them and they might feel they were ripped off ...
I'm looking just to be nosey and see what they paid. I know what it was on at RM for and my guess is they paid £5k under that (£5k being a random/arbitrary price a buyer might've paid). In a way, what they paid is some kind of "benchmark" for mine ...
I've been keeping Zoopla notes since before I bought mine. It's "gone down" in the last update.0 -
Had my gas and electricity annual summaries arrive. Not been aware of having received/seen one ever before.
1700 kWh electricity
1500 kWh gas
Also had the first of two (separate water/sewage bills) bills for water, if I remember correctly they're both about the same ... so annual water is about £50-60.0 -

That is quite a lot of electricity to use every month and about half as much gas as we use.I think....0 -

I have only today heard Generali's news, and not through him, nor any nice person.
I have emailed him and will forward a message relaying the situation as I have read it here and ask if I can forward his details should he be up for that or return my email.
Hope all are well, I'll be back if there is any news.
Edit: remembering how to use search here now, I realise the search party is not needed, and far too late so bye.0 -

Hard to tell if you're making a joke or not though .... re "every month" when I posted the annual figures.
Are you spending enough on heating to keep reasonably warm, PN? That doesn't sound like much at all. I'm a bit concerned. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Just logged on to my supplier to get mine
4581 kWh electricity
35360 kWh gas
Something looks wrong, how can my electric be 2.5 times yours but my gas be more than 20 times???I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I only put it on when absolutely necessary, for the minimum time. I stay under a blanket the whole of winter to keep as warm as possible.
Modern house, well insulated, so it doesn't use much ... and I only have the rad on in the living room - rest are set low just so the heat trickles through/so the system doesn't jam up.how can my electric be 2.5 times yours but my gas be more than 20 times???
Because you heat more rooms, for more hours, to a higher temperature... whereas, for electricity, it works differently as the extra is only individual things others in the house are using.0 -
Explain this:
When it is cold out, we keep the windows shut and the curtains closed to keep the heat in.
So today I kept the windows shut and the curtains closed and the temperature went up to 25C. OH came home and opened all the windows, "to get a breeze going" and the heat comes into the house and the temperature goes up. My request to keep everything shut fell on deaf ears!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
