We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I do despise the renaming of buns to be called cupcakes.

I've never decorated a bun..... if invited I'd be happy to turn up and chat to those doing it, but it'd not be in my skillset to even put a big dot on each one.

That was my view until I tried it, it's lots of fun and certainly not my skillset (as the photos prove) but I really enjoy it.

Cake decorating = sticky goo on a spoon that you're trying to get to a smooth finish/to look nice, without the ability to get out the wire wool and a selection of metal files to file it down and polish it up :)

So no. Not the same at all :)

This is more rolling out of stuff and then cutting weird shapes that somehow makes something that looks like something, plus maybe a few dots of buttercream to puff stuff up (or if you are me, completely overdo the butter cream so that people have plenty to lick when they are eating them :rotfl:)

I think I'm just passing through.

Tbh, fir got a bit cross about the same stuff that annoyed me that I couldn't be bothered to explain here and wasn't that happy about it. Its water under the bridge as far as I am concerned fwiw, and no resentment is held, but it just made it clear that friendships or proclaimed understanding were not sincere or mutual.

I wish everyone who I care for really well and still care for them and wish only the best , but realise that people cannot care for me if they don't know me and what was said made it clear I was not understood, so it all started to feel a little insincere. Tbh, when fir read it, he was more than a bit cross. His feelings really took priority, and the vehemence of them was not insignificant. He also was annoyed by some things that didn't bother me in the least :D

This is still bookmarked at the top though, so I hit it accidentally sometimes :D.

I'm now desperately hoping it wasn't me as I struggle to express my empathy at times, especially in written form and that can make it appear that I am not understanding of a situation.

Ditto. sometimes anyone can across the wrong way without meaning to. I'm still feeling incredibly blessed at obtaining my free valet, despite being a bit of a minion and not driving a 5 Series. ;)

I am confused, but happy to see you, lir! You must know that your contribution has been a driving force to this thread and that I am sure no one would ever have intended to upset you.

    Edit: I miss you :)

Far too good to eat. I liked the cups on the cup cake. Nice punning.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I didn't want a wedding cake because they were too expensive.

Then we had a cake and I liked it too much to cut it. We ended up cutting it late in the evening and had too much leftover.

Our village was a bit touristy on a Sunday and I ended up handing wedges of cake to strangers out of my kitchen window before we left for honeymoon.
    :o
