SC's been filled with a simple chilli, all the washing up's been done and I'm on my 3rd coffee
I do like the SC. No poncing about .... keep it simple. Open lid, throw in raw mince, tin of tomatoes, tin of baked beans, sachet this time of chilli from Sainsbobs .... job done. I've also got the final 1/2 a red pepper I'd bought nearly 3 weeks ago, so that's going in in a few hours' time too. Didn't bother with onion, that's "poncing about"... probably spent £2.70 with what's in the pot, it'll make 5 meals, unless I get greedy when it'll make 4.
I prefer baked beans to kidney beans in chilli these days. Kidney beans, even in a SC, can be a bit underwhelming.
Do you drain the tinned tomatoes, or throw the lot in?
You can buy bags of pre-chopped onions, to save poncing time.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I scoop each one out, individually, using the tines of a fork to enclose the little bit where the stalk joins.... with the tomato secured at the stalk part I then slice that bit off and discard it. All the liquid goes in though. It's just those little stalk bits that are removed/discarded/not used.
I know you can ... but that'd mean looking for them and then they'd take up freezer space, which isn't that large. I could/should cut onions, I've even got some here I bought a couple of months ago ... but I simply CBA. I've got some dried ones too, which I could add in the last hour if I wish to.0 -

I really like onions as a veg, so I'd lob them in whole , minus the outer skin of course. It's so good to discuss haute cuisine! No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

My flatmates tried to SC a chilli using unsoaked unboiled kidney beans with catastrophic results.:(There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Off out to do some cupcake decorating......not that they will look anything like they are supposed to!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Everything else in life you just chuck in .... and that one, common, ingredient needs special attention.
I just buy tins
As it's been 5 hours, I just tried a small cheeky bowl of the chilli. Definitely nice/very edible. You really can't go wrong with chilli can you. A fool's dinner ... er, except for people using dry kidney beans
I CBA to make rice, or anything else, to go with my quick taster, so I just had the chilli. I'll do an accompaniment later.
This internet cooking guru has published a retraction and apologised to his fans - presumably when the !!!! hit them.

I've never decorated a bun..... if invited I'd be happy to turn up and chat to those doing it, but it'd not be in my skillset to even put a big dot on each one.
Isn't it a bit like jewellery? I mean the same sort of skills are involved, such as manual dexterity and an eye for design. If you can do jewellery you might be absolutely ace at cake decorating. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
