I spend a lot of time in Florida. I was thrilled to hear that all my friends there were safe. Then today I heard that one of them lost six of their friends in the Pulse attack. There's too much bad stuff going on.

One of my neighbours has only just had a holiday there, though I don't know which part of the country she went to. I did think she was a bit rash to go to Turkey! those poor people :(

Nikkster Hang in there :) Sounds as if you're "feeling the fear and doing it anyway" :T

My guys worked for 15 months restoring a house without falling out.

When the family moved in and asked us to build an enormous flat packed jungle gym they all fell out. Ended up with one person building it as the others went home sulking then wouldn't help again. Took him over four days.

Flat pack. Was this something to do with reading the instructions?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Either that, or not counting and sorting all the components!

The news from Turkey is appalling. I have relatives who live there, but I've never been myself and the relatives rave about it so much I feel I'm missing something.

I caused great embarrassment to my youngest son. The cafe had a sign saying "Tell us about your allergies." Apparently, telling them about my hay fever was BAD.

    Posh Alert

I'm allergic to grouse. Seriously I am. If I have grouse for dinner at 8pm then I'll be up emptying my guts at 3am. I love grouse, it's one of my favourite meats. Blimmin' expensive though.

    Health Update

I have two lumps in about the same place where Leon the Lump was. I've got a hematologist appointment Thursday next week. I'm extremely concerned. On a positive note I don't have any other symptoms of lymphoma but I am still officially bricking it.

    Interesting Work Thing

Work is interesting right now. I'm writing a paper on cluster munitions and land mines: who profits from them and what's the supply chain (e.g. Textron makes the cluster munition using some parts made by General Dynamics and it's then fired out of a missile made by Raytheon). We want to try to convince our biggest client that we shouldn't invest in companies that have anything to do with cluster munitions.
