Ha, I thought it was probably her when I read your description! I can't stand her  She was on BBC when I switched it on yesterday morning, and I had to change channels after a few minutes because I couldn't bear to watch her or listen to her any longer!

I saw her too, she was having a proper little paddy. Needed a sock putting in it!

NP would be very dull if we all agreed with each other on everything and only posted pictures of kittens.
Kittens are boring, westies rule! :D

I saw the most awful post on Facebook yesterday once the result was known and I really despair.....they were pretty much saying, ok we have voted, now to kick all those not born here out.
Popped into the local Budgens yesterday for mandarins and cheesy puffs, a couple of not so NP's in the express queue behind me: 'we can start sending them back now'. Sad.
We didn't think we'd ever consider our future in this country, but we're both having doubts now (Mrs Wheezy more so than me). Problem is that we're at that age, too old to start anew somewhere else, too young to retire. We'll see.

This N.I. - Wales game is a tad dull, isn't it?

There's a petition on the Parliament Petition site that is proving very popular, so much so that it crashed the website yesterday evening! Currently at 821,124 signatures.

    2 million now

But no, I won't be signing it, it's just silly.

That annoying bint's just been on my telly again .... she's poison. Anna Soubry

Not because of what she said, but because she's playing a game of "saying something soothing, then putting the boot in".

She said they're now calming down and getting on with the job of ensuring people aren't petrified - "and I'm working on that..." in the NEXT breath she started ranting about who is to blame/what's wrong ... blame, blame, blame.

    Oddball. Liability.

You can't say you're working on smoothing waters then go into a rant about things and blaming people... that's not how "smoothing" works.

If she tried to be my friend I'd probably move house.

I am entitled to Irish citizenship, will seriously consider if we want to do this.

I looked into this a few months ago as I wondered if it might come in handy, but my Irish ancestry is two generations too far back. My father was born there too, but that doesn't count as his parents weren't Irish. Oh well. I just thought it might make travelling within the EU easier in the future.

ETA PasturesNew Just seen your post about Anna Soubry on the previous page and it made me laugh out loud, it's such a good description :rotfl:

As someone else also said earlier, you'd have to look into the tax position you'd be in. I had a quick look at a 'possibility' for dual nationality (not Irish), and although I might have had a case, it would probably have involved a huge amount of bureaucracy, and might have put me in an odd position with regard to other things. Not worth it, just for the benefit of free cross-border travel in my case.
Might be worth considering in a doomsday scenario, though! :D

(:( If you'd told me, a year ago, that I would be googling dual nationality, I would have told you you were nuts. :( )

Who is she?? I know she works under my local
MP but I didn't notice her until yesterday.

There's a channel 4 news video of her talking directly to camera on my fb feed. She's now saying that Boris isn't an 'outer' as she calls it and purely fronted the campaign for his own personal benefit.

I have no idea what the truth is, but I don't care because she's such a sour little creature and her words say moe about her than Boris. It's done. Stop whining and attention seeking.

She is. It's very unusual for anybody to "come to my attention" as everybody and everything just goes on without me noticing... but her face was like an alsation licking pee off a stinging nettle on the BBC couch on Friday morning - and they were trying to conduct an interview (interviewer + her + 2 others on the couch) and she was almost swaying with hatred and almost spitting .... and not aware of anything going on around her as she was determined to spew out whatever it was that was in her head.

So she made me notice her because of her bizarre traits and behaviours.

So then I had to look her up, which was no mean feat as all I knew was she was an MP, blonde and on the sofa .... so I had a lot of googling to do of blonde MPs before I found her.

There is definitely an any one but boris movement out there.

I have also come across a lot of the boris = trump plus a thesaurus opinion. Personally I just see it as an act and don't think he is dangerous but find it interesting that others do. What do NP feel about our likely next PM?
    I think....
