    I won't be signing it.

As passionate as I was, it was true democracy. My vote counted, which it does not in general elections.

This^^^. However slim the majority it was the majority of those voting. If we want democracy we have to be prepared to live with the outcomes of the democratic process.

Thank you. It is very worrying. He was very frail, Grandson had "lost" his car keys recently as he was so bent over when driving he thought other drivers wouldn't even see there was a driver in the car. But hip break at advanced age is a very serious problem.

Sorry to hear that Maggie, and sorry for only just responding, I didn't see your post before.

In the middle of a stand off with OH about when to move if we're going to.....where is already sorted, but I say we should do it this summer, she says we should wait.

Commuting on most months' rosters should be possible, so it's just a case of ironing out the finer details. I want to do it before I change my mind.

CK, surely the heat of the moment is the wrong time?

If you fear you might change your mind, that should be an indication to you to stand still for a while and take stock. :A

Have just heard that OH's Uncle (in his 90s) has had a fall and broken his hip so is in Arrowe Park Hospital. He's had an operation. Their Grandchildren are looking after OH's Aunt. Never rains but it pours!

Just remember how old the Queen Mum was when she had her hip op!

    It's a difficult one.

It's been at the back of our minds for a while, and I'm in the difficult position of wanting to do it while we still have a reasonable chance of getting residence permits etc somewhere else.

The big thing swinging in the favour of leaving is that we have a break clause in 2019 on the office/warehouse (although it probably would sell for more than was paid for it, as the rent is more than paid by the parts of it that are rented out, still leaving a decent office and studio space), and how deeply integrated the company is with the EU. Phasing out over 2-3 years is going to be the only reasonable way of making it work however and this is going to be the plan.

I respect those that voted eitheer way for the right reasons (as in it genuinely benefits them), however don't want to stay in a country that doesn't feel so much like home anymore. For me, the UK is a country at the front of the EU, and unfortunately right now, it's not.

Oh so sorry to hear that Maggie xx
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Very serious indeed unfortunately. I wish him well. It never rains....

It's freezing here. It's going to be 2C tonight and my car thermometer didn't get above 12C at any point. Brrrr. Canberra is going to be minus 5c!!!! That's 23f or 'bloody ridiculous' as we say over here. I have red wine so all is well.
