although rare in Uk the pine marten is here in France but protected none the less....the last week we have heavy pitta patter that disturbs us around 5.30am like many little people with wellies on are arriving or leaving..guess now arriving if they are pine martens for the days sleeps which we wish we where still having....we have the barn that is adjoining the bedroom and so I guess they are invading quite easily...protected so have to respect that don't we.....earmuffs are an option as its not hot yet...and hope they don't chew the electrics up there....

There are also Stone Martens (aka Beech or White-Breasted Marten) in your area. If you haven't got much forest around you, it could be them.

Some people pronounce that "the other way" these days .... creating less sniggers.

Yes, it's strange.......I grew up calling it Ur-A-nus and thought nothing of it. It seemed to change around 20-25 years ago.

Please can someone tell me how to upload from photobucket?

Have you managed to, yet, Spirit?

I could tell you how to do it from an iPad, but I believe that some parts of the process are different if you use a PC.
