Some people pronounce that "the other way" these days .... creating less sniggers.

The other pronunciation still works for a toilet though :)
    I think....

Nope, it is definitely Yer-anus, aka The Rude Planet.

More rain is forecast for Sydney this weekend. The dams are all full so the water company is likely to have to spill some out.

The problem is that we're still getting over the last lot of storms. The poor firies and SES volunteers must be really starting to struggle.

Local news, no idea if you can watch it in the UK or not:

Please can someone tell me how to upload from photobucket?

You select the photo from your album, then on the right there are 4 'share this photo' options, you click the 'direct' one, it will say 'copied', then you post here, select the insert image button and paste the link in the pop-up box.

Pastures, did you ever receive your Polling Card?
I found it had already arrived, and I'd chucked it with the "random leaflets the postman also delivered that day" onto the floor as a pile of "look at" .... and I reached down to that pile to use one of them

    A whiter-than-usual Wheezy Westie :)

We haven't received our polling cards yet either, but if they don't arrive it doesn't matter anyway.

ETA Oops, yes we have :o They are on the mantelpiece but I thought what I was looking at was just DS's one from the mayoral election because I knew he hadn't taken it with him when he went to the polling station.

OH didn't realise I thought they hadn't turned up.

I'm still pecking away at the railway crash story .... without the proper resources it takes you 10x as long :)

Unreliable NP here... if you want to send me the details, I'll see if I can have a look for you. I know I've got other stuff that I haven't sent you yet, sorry I've changed jobs and have about 1000 emails to answer. However if you pm me, I'll email myself. That way it will be at the top. For the moment anyway.
