Did any of the Nice Dads take to wrestling their son when he got to a certain age?
This beach is like 'Smackdown'. This appears to be the battle for alpha male. I think Doozer has already lost the speed battle. Thankfully, they are far enough away and of sufficiently different skin colour that I can pretend not to own them.
I'll never understand men.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I can't ride a bike
Eh?
Oh well, who am I to speak. I can't speak Latin. I've got the obvious ones (QED and so on) plus Caecellius est in cubiculae (sp??) from the 35 minutes of Latin I did at school.
We drove up to Canberra today after the school fete through the pre-storm. OMG, what a nightmare. I couldn't see a thing and it was absolutely chucking it down. The main storm is due to come through at about 5am and it looks like it's actually going to be properly bad. Some bits of NSW have had 3x average June rainfall so far this June and it's only the forth!!! Even parts of Sydney are up to 180% of their average June rainfall.0 -

Not really. I chucked the Generalissimos around loads when they were little and chuckable for fun. I still chuck The Girl around quite a bit, The Boy is basically over it though. It wasn't wrestling so much as being a human fairground ride.0 -
Sounds like you'll need more than an umbrella, Generali.
Have you got a wetsuit?(I just lurve spiders!)

I took it up again three years ago at adult classes! I'd forgotten so much that I started with a beginner's course, and it soon came back! You could do that!
It's not taught locally, unfortunately, and classes are pretty expensive here even if it were. Thanks for the thought thoughMy best friend who lives in Scotland used to be a Classics teacher - perhaps I could ask her if she fancies devising a distance learning course for me
Oops! Edited for grammar0 -

Off now to see how far it is.
It's a really grey/flat/pointless kind of day. Can't even take a photo as it's not the right light to make any photo worthwhile. It's the sort of grey/overcast that drains all the colour from the world.
I'm starving....
EDIT: pedometer says I did 5 miles. That's not too shabby I guess. 5+4=9 today.
I bought a fitbit. Luckily it proved faulty so I could return it. Got bored of the idea pretty quick. having had it a few days, i know that general steps not in pursuit of exercise add up to about 2-3k a day. So 7k is a reasonable target that my phone can count.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Caecilius, Metella and Quintus along with Grumio. Grumio est in culina. Grumio est ebrius. Again.
I'm guessing Grumio is drunk!
My DS did that course at school. He enjoyed it, but didn't do it an a GCSE option. He's always been a whizz with computers, and his Latin teacher told us that the two skills often seem to go together. Must be the logic side of things, I suppose.0 -
