Hope all the NPs are well and happy with things. I've lots to read and catch up on.
I'm less than 24 hours out from the marathon. It's at this point I start reading about all the things I should have done !
It seems it was all about something called "the plan". I've never had a workable plan in my life, and I'm not about to start now!0 -
My youngest has just heard she got the job she has had two interviews for and had set her heart on! :j:j:j
Milestone for my youngest too, he actually managed to speak to the person in a local cafe about the notice in the window regarding a part time job. Doesn't sound like much but he doesn't 'do' people especially if he has to talk about himself.
Took him about 10 hours of being in a quandry and stressing about it and when it came to it, his words wouldn't work and he was stood there like an idiot (his words) pointing at the sign until something came out.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Although it may be something that's good for confidence building and being able to gain the ability to communicate better in the future, which if the management there are supportive enough will be a massive step in the right direction.
Congratulations from me💙💛 💔0 -

Good stuff. Hopefully this is a step forwards for him.

Well done to him for summoning up the courage to go and ask. After all the worrying beforehand and the stress he did well to say anything under the circumstances. :T Fingers crossed something comes of it."This site is addictive!"

Thanks everyone, it was a huge huge step for him. He has got to take his CV in (all that stress for them to just tell him to drop his CV off but hey ho), so now to get it printed off.
It's also handy for transport, the train station is at the end of our road, the job is at the train station 2 stops up, so it might (he struggles with travelling on his own) work. It might not however but at least he is trying to overcome the more trying parts of his autism. We made it! Am I still able to post?
Something weird happening elsewhere and I look PPRd.
Looks ok... strange...
I've tried to remove my thanks on a post that I would not normally thank.. I think I may have hit thanks button in error on a tiny screen and not noticed. Post does not reflect my views, but when I try to remove thanks it says that my priviledges revoked.
Update... well I'm still here and the thanks have been removed. Maybe there was a glitch. For a moment I got a glimpse into Neverland...Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.
