And my recently constructed, not quite landscaped entirely pond is overflowing nicely into the newly built bog garden. From what I've seen from the window:D

I trust that it was intended to be a bog garden?

We're not getting away with the weather now, got soaked earlier going from a shop to the car and then again just now investigating a huge crash from outside..a big branch had split off of one of my trees and landed on my wheelie bin.

    It's wild out there.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

It's still windy here, but not AS windy as it was. It's mostly been dry all morning. Just cooler than one might expect for June... sun sometimes comes out, but dark grey clouds keep hiding it.

Same here and I've got to take the dog for his morning constitutional as well! It'll be my second soaking in less than twelve hours. :o

I wonder if anybody makes an indoor gym to exercise dogs?

When my dad was a boy, he had a dog who got very excited when he heard the W word and would dash round and round the table in anticipation of the walk. If my dad really didn't want to have to go out, he would just keep promising the walk until the dog had got what he felt was enough exercise running round and round the table, and then let him out in the garden to do what he had to do!

UPVC tubing? What's wrong with a toilet roll holder? Much cheaper.
Always worked for saying "And here's one I made earlier"
    :rotfl:

I used that phrase yesterday! I was leading an inset session on how to use my automated spreadsheet for internal exam results, and I wanted to show the teachers attending what it would look like once they'd done it. I said "In the spirit of Blue Peter, 'here's one I made earlier.'"

Weather very wet and windy here too. Tomorrow is the first day of phase 2 of my cycle to work plan - between now and the end of term I'll be cycling on Wednesdays and Thursdays. So far I haven't had to do any in the rain. Maybe tomorrow will be the first of them, but the forecast says it's not going to rain here until later in the day, so if I leave quickly as soon as school finishes for the afternoon I just might be able to stay dry. I must make a point of remembering a scarf, though - when it's windy I get earache without something to protect my ears.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Hehe, I saw a similar thing some years ago, although it did involve the owners going out - it was on the Seven Sisters in Sussex and one owner was standing on one of the Sisters whilst the other was on the next one.
The one who didn't have the dog called him and off he ran. When he got to them, the other one called him and back he ran.
Rinse and repeat until dog is completely knackered, then go home ;)

I used to do that by standing at the top of the stairs and calling her, then sending her off down the stairs, then calling her up, etc. Etc., until she twigged, but by then she was a bit puffed.
I'm sure she then muttered doggy obscenities at me under her breath.

Pyxis, you're visiting a country I went to before and would love to visit again. I'd love to travel the world but I reckon you could fill a lifetime just travelling the Mediterranean alone.

I'd add the Baltic and the North Sea and the Black Sea too. So much to see!
