Welcome to the wide awake club GDB. I went to bed 11.30, went to sleep just after midnight, woke up at 2.36 and have basically been awake since. I went to bed with a bee in my bonnet about getting person admitted to hospital, but too late to discuss with anyone. Bloody bee is still here.

    Have a lovely time silver.

I'm joining the wide awake club, but only because I'm at the airport for an early flight. :)

I joined it too....the cat wanted biscuits at stupid o clock. Tried to get back to sleep, gave up and have been wandering around the internet (and the house) ever since.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Maybe we should insist that all BT engineers should constantly sing this as they work so we will recognise they aren't magpies behind bushes

Oh thank you zag, I love that song, brings back happy memories :)

I am getting on really well with a youtube sound clip of wind and rain on a window.

I don't sleep too badly anyway although do get woken a few times a night by the kids (especially when they are a bit under the weather like now) and love going back to sleep to the sound of wind and rain.
    I think....

* Are you on my holiday? :D
I was through security at 5am! That Lounge fee was worth every penny because it included Premium Security, which meant a queue of about 4 people for the trays, instead of a humungous python of a queue through the ordinary one.

Now in very sunny you know where! ;)
Partial sea/Marina view. Quite nice no-frills room.
The aircon isn't the best I've encountered though, at least not in the room.
Will go and have a bit of an explore of the hotel in a bit, then my group is off out for a recce walk and a Sing before din-dins. I'm going full veggie for this holiday, so it will be interesting to see how they do it in you-know-where!;)
Got to learn a few basic words too, like Ps & Qs and do you speak English, etc.
Mind you, just saying the name of the town is a challenge! Too many consonants! :D

    * I don't mean  in an "Oh my God, No!" sort of way; I mean  in an "OMG! What a lovely coincidence!" sort of way!

I'd have been ok in Malta, 'cos they speak Italian there, and I can at least get by in Italian!

Years ago (decades actually) I stumbled across some weird tapes in a US record store. It was basically background noise; one was thunder in the city. The tagline was "The Future of Music Isn't Music". I wish I'd bought one. It's very soothing to hear rain outside when you're indoors.

Just googled it, thinking it's pre-internet and would have no web-presence but here it is.

The reviewer reckons it should be re-released! I agree!

Pyxis, we got to the airport about 6.30. Very quiet airport and we did have fast track security so were in the lounge by 6.45. I guess it's end of half term week in most places, so not too many departures.

Pyxis They can mostly speak English in Malta, apart from the most elderly. (Will delete if you wish :)) Last time we were there it was early Sept and very hot but the children were all wearing their thick school jumpers. We saw some primary aged girls in a pink school uniform!
