Sometimes both buyers and sellers need to move quickly for various reasons0

It took nearly 4 months to sell my Southampton flat - even though I'd already moved, the flat was empty and the buyers, AFAIK, were buying it to let out, so no moving required by either party. There was a bit of extra time taken up with requests for information to the management company, plus the company having to enrol the buyers as shareholders and take me off the list (it's an owners owned management company) and the buyers certainly changed their lender, possibly solicitor at some point.
That compares with a couple of days over three months from offer to completion for me to buy this house, cash purchase and no moving required at my end but a little old lady and dog had to find and buy a flat at this end plus move all her stuff. Oh, and that three months included the Christmas period which would have slowed things down a tad.0 -

Yeah, it's been tiddling down most of the day here too and was rather windy this morning but that's died down now.
My first four water butts are now full to the brim, whilst the second set I installed last week are about 3/4 full - but I didn't expect them to fill as quickly as the first four. They are fed from a slightly smaller roof, and they were almost empty to start with.
Based on my rough calculations of roof surface area to volume I estimate we've had about an inch and a half of precipitation. No DOOFing
Just SQUELCHing? :rotfl:0 -
Yes and I've now got to walk the dog in this weather, more's the pity! There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0

Same here and I've got to take the dog for his morning constitutional as well! It'll be my second soaking in less than twelve hours.

Our sun umbrella has gone next door. Glad I have not yet set up the pool and gazebo for the 'summer'.....I think....0

We seem to have got away with a lot of the weather so far, it was dry all day yesterday until just before 7 last night (and then chucked it down and was blowing a gale pretty much all night) and I have woken up this morning to it being windy with a few spits in that wind.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Sure is - just been out to check my garden, no damaged plants although one Lupin could do with some canes adding just to be on the safe side.
My water butts are now well and truly full - the float gauge I made for the second set is jammed solidly against the underside of the butt lid0 -

As this is MSE, you could probably make your own using an old Xmas satsuma box and some empty tins plus some bits of upvc tubing and gaffa tape
UPVC tubing? What's wrong with a toilet roll holder? Much cheaper.
Always worked for saying "And here's one I made earlier"
