Pyxis They can mostly speak English in Malta, apart from the most elderly. (Will delete if you wish :)) Last time we were there it was early Sept and very hot but the children were all wearing their thick school jumpers. We saw some primary aged girls in a pink school uniform!

No need to delete, as I'm not there! :rotfl:

Actually, this afternoon I did have a chance to speak a little Italian, as there was an Italian couple in the hotel garden when I was exploring, so I had a little garbled chat. (I was garbled, not them! Hahahahahahaha).
It was a bit funny, because they asked if I was English and I said yes, and then....... I apologised! The elephant in the room-garden! (They were very nice about it, though).

We're off on a boat trip tomorrow.. :)

Crazy stuff going on in London. There have been helicopters flying overhead here. I wonder if they have sent the Herts helicopters into town.

The Queen's been at my end of town, due to horses not being slow or something. Gone back since, I'd imagine. Lots of traffic hassle around here yesterday with arrangements.

Anyhoo, an NP has been very helpful to me and my DS today. :T

The cognoscenti know who I'm grateful to, and the NP's DS deserves kudos for his helpful advice as well.

This is a very positive thread, as we all know: we all pull together.

    Hope it went well Zag

I had a bit of a panic when the news broke on the events in London tonight as I knew James had plans to go into London for drinks, so it was a mad panic to get in contact with him to make sure he was ok.

He was on his way to drinks in High Wycombe...turns out his night out was cancelled due to a friend's relationship breakdown, phew!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

On the plus side, 3 down without us having to pay £2million for a trial and imprisonment. A bullet's cheaper than capital punishment.

A six foot drop on the end of a rope is even cheaper - you can use it again, very MSE ;)

Personally, I wouldn't want to see capital punishment reinstated. That really would be giving in to the terrorists.

In any case, it clearly is not going to be a deterrent to suicidal terrorists.

The police use dum dum bullets, so the chances of survival are very low.
