I always used to drive between 90-100 on the motorway but cameras, traffic and the cost of fuel mean I don't go over 85 any more. It does not feel any different to 75 to be honest.

My parents paid for my lessons - but I only needed 6. That was a bargain for them compared to some of my brothers and sisters who I think took up to 4 tests.

Aww... I can still remember when you got her - and you really didn't appear that keen at the time, but it was just couple of days before we could spot you'd really fallen for her!

She had a nice end of life with you, some familiarity to continue her days. Treats, walks ... and YOU!

    Exactly this.
RIP Mutt. I loved hearing stories about you xx

    Nikkster!!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Interesting no one feels the need to admit to the occasional bottle of wine or single malt or ready meal from M&S as an extravagance.

We drink wine, I'm not calling it an extravagance!

I am shocked that seemingly all my 17 y/o sons mates have been bought cars by their parents, let alone driving lessons. This includes people from different socio economic background such as a retired divorced woman, quite poor, that just bought her twins a car each

A lot of that comes from either not trusting our kids to drive our own cars or having a company car and them not being insured to drive it.

OH can't get insurance on his car to cover anyone under 25. My car is automatic, so wouldn't have been much help in the boys learning to drive.

We bought a nearly new 1 litre Aygo for DS1 to learn on, as we realised there was no way he would pass his test without some practice. We kept that car for 9 years, the boys sharing it during uni holidays if they were both home. (the car never went to uni). Only replaced it when it was 10 yrs old and going to soon need expensive repairs and DS2 needs a car to get to work and drives on the motorway regularly.

    Happy Birthday Nikks!

Sorry to hear about the dog GDB. Glad that you were able to give her a nice home for a while.

Maybe Fred West didn't bury in clay soil?

You don't visit as often as we'd like.

I think of you every evening as my little solar lights light up :)
They're currently hanging on the fence opposite the patio doors and light up all night!
