    There is a house for sale on a road I would like to move to - only problem is with stamp duty I am about 600k short - oh and it needs a complete refurb. Could all the NPs look down the back of their sofas please and see if we can bridge the gap? Thanks in advance.

    I've only got £3 left to last the week, blame £land! If you'd only asked earlier......

    Ever thought of "creating" instead of consuming existing properties?

    Blimey! You're 600k short, and it needs a refurb? I gulp at what the full refurbed value of the house would be!

    Is this in Inner Herts?

    Inner Herts. There was another house recently that looked OK but the 7.5m price tag put me off. However prices are generally a fair bit lower here than where SC lives.

    Someone is trying to sell a plot - except it doesn't have planning permission and is in the green belt not in an area earmarked for development - for 250k - basically about the most expensive very small paddock you can imagine....
    I think....

    You could've spent just ~£2.2million buying the WHOLE new development near me.... and randomly bought the 2nd hand one a few doors down from me for another £250k.

    :)

    That was productive. I can now give you a slightly dusty Malteser.
    No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

    How much is an antique Malteser worth?

    I've got a boxful of old £1 coins! Perhaps I could be a sleeping partner?

    Edit....:eek: Business-wise I mean! Business-wise! :eek::eek::eek:
