Heating goes on in my house around 8 degrees - i've always been warmer than everyone else. Mr Bugs used to like it semi-tropical, it was a constant source of bickering:).
Love the wallpaper and carpet in the hallway, you could charge people to come and see it and then offer refreshments to help people get over the shock.
I saw this on Friday

Only to walk up from my house to discover a Sold sign outside. Just look at all that land, I could garden for hours, and it's in my ideal location.0 -

You shouldn't - WD40 is not a lubricating oil nor, really, a penetrating oil despite many people claiming that. It is a water dispersant fluid, hence the WD in the name - the 40 signifies the 40th formula, implying that the manufacturers tried 39 others before getting it just as they required. it was originally developed to protect the outer skin of Atlas missile fuel tanks.
If the gate is secured by a lock with a key then powdered graphite is best - you can buy bottles of it or, as I've done in the past, sharpened (or blunted) a pencil on a sheet of sandpaper.
If it's just a sticky bolt then a light oil (such as "3-in-one", other brands are available) or a light grease is best.0 -
It looked like there were hens or ducks as well!

It looks less exposed in real life, it just needs a short amount of fence. It's at the end of a cul de sac.
Still, I didn't really want to move just yet, something else will come along at a better time. Michaels could buy it about 5 times over.:rotfl:0 -

It's a "big house", but the individual rooms, bearing in mind its presence, are disappointingly narrow. I bet it'd feel "cramped" once you moved in.0 -

It's a lock I appear to have bought/fitted erroneously as it's not intended for external use, so when I turn the key, sometimes, it takes 2-3 goes before the metal bit moves out of the lock position.
.... DIY ...? I can't even buy the right lock!0 -

Don't be too hard on yourself.
When I once went looking for an external lock, they were incredibly hard to find.
The problem I have with my gate is that every few years it becomes impossible to unlock because the gate or the post has moved slightly, leaving the recess and the locky bit out of line. I managed to chisel a bit more out of the recess when it first happened, but it's got very bad again, and my poorly wrists can't cope easily with it.
Another chiselling job.
At least chiselling wood is easier than sawing!(I just lurve spiders!)

I agree, even the bedrooms are a bit small and the downstairs accommodation is very disappointing - but if you look at the rest of the street you can see that what you start with is a 'blank canvass' on which you add...and addI think....0
