Thanks for the reply it's pretty much what I expected you to say. :D

I will never understand the logic of any company which launches a new product they cannot possibly hope to sell unless it has specific ulterior motives for doing so.

Has your energy company set side millions to pay fines and claims for energy products mis-sold to you and I?...or just to simply divert attention away and misdirect it's customers and the press.....get my drift? :D

I'm sure E.ON's senior management think they know what they're doing but they should take heed and remember that the paying customer never forgets!
  • I'm so happy to be on V19 but I can see why company's like EE will always get new customers hahaaha, WHY o WHY would you release Rates like the V20 and think people will sign up for it . . . ., if you did not know the idea is to pay less not MORE in 2016 . .

I'm so glad I moved away from E.on.
  • Morning youravinalarrrf,

As I'm sure you all know, Malc, Amy and I don't have any influence on tariff's or prices or business decisions etc.

We don't have any sort of business decision information, this sort of stuff is just not shared with us.

We are here, as always to help with account worries and problems and we do everything we can to get things resolved.

I'm sorry I can't help with the specifics of V20.

I guess that's one way to save face

quite shocking the massive hike in price from the previous v19

    on the verge of laughable

whats the official word on this tariff being so HIGHLY overpriced?

considering wholesale prices don't even come close to justifying those outrageous price hikes

maybe you can let us know

For me v20 is only £46pa less than standard EON Energy Plan -compared with everything else currently being bandied about its ~23% more !!

We all appreciate your position, but usually a company spokesperson gives an explanation for a huge jump in prices; e.g. high cost of subsidizing renewables.

    Thanks Cardew,

We've never had anyone post on the forum, but we do pass these things back or (up) so I've passed all the information to my manager from the threads.

Then if I do have any additional information I can post, I will.

    Hiya Cardew,

    I've had a reply.

As with all our tariffs we keep our prices under review and always ensure that the they are appropriately priced based on a number of factors, many which change and fluctuate, including the costs and aspects that make up a typical energy bill.

Don't forget that you can also opt in for the price alerts, I know Malc has spoken about this lately and as you know you can change from one E.ON tariff to another without paying an exit fee.

I'm sorry I don't have anything more specific.

not a very good response whoever gave you that as to why the v20 is so overpriced.

    "appropriately priced"
yeah so much so its nearly £200+ more than the previous one, I'll pass thanks

" including the costs and aspects that make up a typical energy bill."
yeah prices are still low yet you still have the nerve to hike prices of the v20

its looking more and more like something to do with removing the age uk tariff and replacing it will this v20

I can see no other explanation as to why there as been a huge jump from the v19 and previous ones
there is absolutely no other justification for such a massive hike in price for a 1 year fix

a very poor (if not shambolic move on Eon's part)
its like they don't want to have new customers

I do understand NittyGritty and I'm sorry I don't have anything more to offer.

The tariff's come and go as we know, then things like the Age UK crop up, but we still continue with the planned tariff's etc. We had version 19 out longer as some customers were having problems getting through to us on the phone. It was to try and help.

    Thank you
