Up early today woken up by the roofer who had come to clean the guttering out. Told mum of my major plans and she offered to pay for the gutters to be cleaned for Easter. Phoned them yesterday and they were here 8.30 this morning. £80 literally down the drain but a job that has needed doing for many many months
Weather still not too good today so no plans for another stint in the garden. Unless it clears up a bit later it's going to be another housework day today.
I may try and tackle my front room. It's a room that everybody uses as a dumping ground but it really is a nice quiet sitting room. May persuade DD to help me! I could really do with another cupboard in there but that's something that will have to wait a while as it's not a priority.
Feeling frustrated at the moment as there's so many things I want to do to the home and garden just don't have the money to do it. I know it's my own stupid fault but its a lot harder paying money back than it is borrowing it12/04/2019

Woke up feeling really down in the dumps today. Have heard from two of the girls from work and there are major issues going on there and I'm sorry that I can't be there to support them.
Had quite a productive day yesterday in that I gave the front room and really good sort out and clean and even managed to clean the hall and living room. Didn't get out in the garden as the weather was temperamental but today's forecast is much better so may pop out there this afternoon for a few hours. Have to lay another sheet of weed control and move some railway sleepers and a large planter. May even try to relay the stones on the rockery but will see how time goes.
Have GD for the weekend and I've promised she can go play out in her playhouse which has been closed up for the winter, that should keep her occupied enough to let me do my work12/04/2019

I did manage a bit of time in the garden yesterday but run out of weed control so couldn't do very much more as I didn't have the money to buy more
Ended up clearing the next patch of garden on my list so it wasn't a complete waste of the sunshine. Weather not so good today so can't see me getting back out there.
Since I've managed to trace the missing cheque and had confirmation that it will be sent to me I'm eagerly waiting the postman every single day, he doesn't come until about 2.00 pm so I work myself up for most of the day only to be disappointed when it doesn't come. I think this is why I'm feeling down as I really want to pay something off. Never mind - maybe today!!!
Got absolutely nothing planned for the day other than the usual womenly stuff like washing and cleaning but with GD here, there;s very little chance of getting much done as she's pulling her toys out as fast as I'm cleaning. Wouldn't change it for the world though lol.
Have re-looked at my list of 'to-do's' but everthing that needs to be done has a cost implication to it so there's nothing on there I can tackle today:(12/04/2019

Well it's another miserable day outside so no chance of going out the garden today. Woke up with a massive headache today so just sitting down for 5 waiting for the paracetamols to work
was stressing about my Uni assignments last night so think that's what it is. Have decided to set aside a day this coming week to concentrate on getting the one assignment completed and a day the following week to get the second one done. Am going to go into the Uni and work in the library there so there'll be no chance of disruption - I have a plan!
Got nothing on the agenda today, mum coming over in a little while so I can take her down the shops. She's 80 and finds it difficult walking down and back. I feel it's important that she maintains her activities so on a Saturday morning I drive her down there and wait whilst she potters around.
GD going home at 2.00 today so will have a few hours free to tidy up before going down to OH at about 6.00. Can't believe how much mess a 4 year old can make!
Still no cheque but post hasn't arrived yet so - maybe today!12/04/2019

Not posted for a few days but not much to report either.
Spent all day yesterday doing one of my Uni assignments so feel better knowing that its completed. Have had to go into work today to be assessed by Occupational Health so back home now and feeling quite drained.
Still not received the cheque so that is getting me down, really thought I'd have had it by now and so desperate to pay something off
May spend the rest of the day in front of the TV. Weather quite nice but still no money to buy what's needed for the garden so nothing that can be done out there.
Chill out afternoon on the cards12/04/2019

AH STILL NO CHEQUE and it's driving me mad now!!!!
Not a very nice day at all today so spent most of it indoors. Did pop into the local town for DD to get her ipod fixed - £75!!! Can't say much though as it's her money.
Had a letter today from one of those companies that fight for compensation for you if you have an electricity pole on your property. Never heard of it before and am contemplating taking them up on their offer. Will give that some thought as some extra money would come in very handy.
Have been putting off going to take a coffee table back all week but think I may have to bite the bullet and do it tomorrow. Am out for the day with OH on Friday so if I don't go tomorrow it'll be Monday at the earliest and I really want to get it exchanged.
Am off for a few days away on the 17th and really looking forward to it. Luckily it's courtesy of OH so doesn't cost me anything - I may have to offer to buy a meal out but that would be it. We going away for 6 days and will be glad to do absolutely nothing other than go walking, some watersports, pub lunches, reading and a few drinks in the evening12/04/2019

Have not posted for a few weeks. Week before last was so stressful, I thought I was either going to have a heart attack or a breakdown. Went away for the week with OH last week and managed to unwind lovely. Had a fabulous time and totally de-stressed. Done lots of reading, walking, eating, drinking and early nights. It done me the world of good.
Back to the humdrum yesterday and loads of washing to get through. Spent the majority of yesterday completing a Uni assignment but that's been submitted and only one more piece of work to finish this year - can't wait.
Still not received the cheque so phoned them again yesterday and surprise surprise there's been a technical problem with their computers (year right). Have been promised it'll be sent this week so we'll wait and see.
Been to GP today and had another sick note for a month. Feeling really depressed about it at the moment. Am trying to make use of my time off by keeping house but feel really out of touch with work and my colleagues.
After doing lots of walking last week I've come home with lots of enthusiasm for the great outdoors and even downloaded the 'Couch to 5K' app on my phone. Whether I'll actually do more than look at the app on the phone is another thing but the thought is there in the back of my mind.
Not done very much with the debt-busting other than maintained the monthly £1 payment to all my creditors. Feeling a bit disheartened about it all at the moment but know there's nothing at all I can do12/04/2019

Have had quite a relaxing day today - have sat down all day doing a Uni assignment. It doesn't have to be in until Monday but I so want to get it out of the way. It's the final one for this year so I'll be education free until September once it's done. House is a total mess as I haven't even washed a dish but don't care as I feel I've achieved a lot with the uni work. GD here tonight so planning on finishing the rest tomorrow as she'll not let me have peace to do it this evening.
Nothing else major happening, still no cheque so feel as if I'm in limbo there. Am pleased to report that despite it being a week after pay day I still seem to be holding my own and have some money in the bank
After doing so much brain work today, have decided that tonight I'm going to ha a little tipple.12/04/2019

What an eventful few days I've had. Firstly the cheque has arrived. Paid it into my bank account yesterday afternoon so should clear by end of next week. Just got to decide what I'm going to pay off with it
Have also managed to finish all my uni work for this year so am free until end of September - you don't realise what a relief that is
Have decided that over the next few days I'm going to concentrate on the garden. There are lots of things I can do that don't cost any money so that's the plan. DD has also painted the shed with some wood treatment so that's all ready to pain a pretty colour for my grand-daughter. I have the paint so that's another job that can be done and not cost anything - just need some dry weather. Also plan on pressure washing the drive, patio and front of house so again another task that won't cost.
So many plans in my head, just need the energy to carry them through!12/04/2019

Well considering I've not been on here for nearly a year, I'm pleased to report that I've not been sitting around doing nothing. I've managed to pay off a massive £560 to Cabot Financial and have just set up a payment plan to Moorcroft for a £306.00 debt. Paid £40 off today so already down to £266. Am finally back at work so the money is coming back in and I'm yet again focused to clear some more debt.
The Moorcroft debt is being paid off at £40 a month so that should be clear by the end of September. I am also going to try and concentrate on one of the other small debts.12/04/2019
