  • Well Lloyds are a absolute disaster. Still trying to sort it out. Not very happy about it though.....

Got lots planned for this weekend and it's probably going to cost! Off down OH's this evening and we are going off somewhere for the weekend. He's off work on amonday which is a rare treat so he's decided to do something with his time off. DS owes me £50 and he's promised to give it back to me tonight so at least I'll have some money to spend.

Nothing much happening on the money front with me. I contacted Lowells about some debts I have with them and they don't seem keen with a 40% F&F they are looking more at 20% discount :(

Will have to do some more number crunching and see the most I can pay off with the little money I have.

Still haven't sorted the surface, really need to do that this afternoon if I do nothing else.

    Have a good weekend all

Have a great time whatever OH has planned I'm sure you'll enjoy getting away x
  • Well I'm home after a busy weekend and am pleased to say I haven't spent an awful lot of money - in fact I'm quite pleased at how little I have spent :)

I have also come home to a letter from the FSCS asking for proof of my ID and address so they can pay a ppi claim. Don't know what company or recall anything at all about it but I've sent off the required information and I'll sit back and wait to see what the postman brings.

  • I'm doing a claim through them for my old welcome finance loan; I sent my forms in around 5 weeks ago so hoping for an answer soon :-)

Glad you enjoyed your weekend, and not too much of a spendy one! How lovely to get a letter offering you some money, hope its a lot and can help in a big way. I was talking to a lady a Tesc* who got all told £15,000 and paid all her credit cards off in one hit, it would be enough for me to pay mine off but would have helped.
  • Now £15,000 would be lovely but I can't see it being anywhere near that much - if it comes to fruition that is. I'm not holding out much hope.

Still no news off Lloyds which is very frustrating.

Been up early today and done some cleaning and really must tackle some ironing today - hate it even more than cleaning!

Am meeting some of my work friends for lunch today so we can have a catch up so looking forward to that and I'm constantly thinking about the Uni assignments I should be doing so that's something else I need to tackle :(

Nothing planned on the money front today just trying to save as much as I can.

Ooh I love Ironing my daughters bring there's round and I do the neighbours for a price, goes towards my holidays, I watch Good Morning or catch up from programmes I have planned that OH doesn't want to watch.

Enjoy your lunch, don't think about the money life is too short, you can always catch up later, friends are important xx
  • Your right Anita, friends are very important and they get me through tough times. Didnt spend very much, had a lunchtime special for £5.99 and a refillable cola, was there for about 4 hours all for under £10 :)

I'm starting to get very annoyed at Lloyds as I still haven't heard from them. I'm sure the minute I put it to the back of my mind I'll have a letter off them.

Am finally getting around to sorting out the surface. Have to clear all the documents off it and then see what I can get for it. Forget I'd put a load pf photographs onto it which now have to be transferred to a memory stick :(

Not planning on spending any money tonight or over the weekend (hopefully) so the purse should stay relatively full until the beginning of next week.

  • Well I've sorted out the surface and sold it to Music Magpie. It's quite an old version but in perfect condition. I should get £50 for it which can be added to the debt money. It's all packed up and ready to be posted - this mornings job!

Not much else planned for today, going to pop down to see a friend who is having problems with an assignment so going to see if I can help her with that and then of course down to OH's this evening for the rest of the weekend :)

Hope you all have a money saving weekend and happy mothers day to all the mums and grandma's out there x

  • OK posted the surface off on Saturday and just checked the website and its not been delivered yet - think I need to be patient!

Been up early today and steam cleaned all the floors and popped some washing in the machine. Now having a 5 minute break before I decide what the next move is.

I need to pop out at some point for some cat and dog food, bread and petrol just need to muster up the enthusiasm to go.

Wonder what the mailman will bring today - am hoping for some news off Lloyds and if I don't hear anything from them I may decide to phone them for an update.
