Get well soon Bob
Just thought I'd post that I've done my monthly bulk buy shopping online with 3 different supermarkets so they will all be delivered on pay day Friday!! Was a bit of a mission having 3 separate tabs open and cross-checking the prices (I did try using my supermarket website but couldn't get on with it and was losing patience, as I don't buy many name brand items that it kept "suggesting" to me!)
I have calculated I've bought £170 worth of shopping for £130 after using discount vouchers/using the cheapest supermarket for certain items (cat food was on offer in T3sc0 so have bought in bulk!) :rotfl:
Forgot to give earlier update ref my recharge/Fitness Februarying
Monday - had a nice soak in the bath with a chamomile tea after work (mental recharge), made a veg stir fry for dinner with enough left over for lunch (physical recharge)
Tuesday - had a glass of red wine while reading (mental recharge), walked for an extra hour on top of my normal walk to work (physical recharge)
Today - nothing yet for mental recharge, although you could say sorting out the food shop for the month has stopped me worrying :rotfl:, about to do some vigorous cleaning to give me a bit of a workout!

I was about to claim a NSD but DH has booked an appointment at the phone shop of the fruit variety to get his phone fixed. As it is just over a year old I am sure there will be a cost.
I was planning a spend tomorrow as I need to buy DH birthday cards for Friday so will get them today when he is in the phone shop and not spend tomorrow. Will need to spend one other day this week for a small top up shop as too soon today to get the fresh bits I need today.
Still not had a decision from the vendor about the offer we made at 9am Monday! I think she is taking the proverbial and does not want to sell, even the EA cant get hold of her now. We are the only people to show any interest in the property. However, I would rather she did this now than when we have spent money on valuers and solicitors even though we are gutted we won't get this house in our perfect location. There is nothing else in this location unless we want to spend £135,000 more:eek:
DS was involved in another incident in school today with the same child and this has now been escalated to the head.
All my money shuffles have been done for the month, we have paid the final instalment on our caravan holiday and also have half our budgeted spends saved up.
Still haven't done any exercise and have eaten more proper meals than usual. If I miss breakfast I find my whole day goes to pot.
DH has decided to spend less time on his phone and play station which is helping us both relax more of an evening.

Hope you are soon home Bob but please look after yourself when you are.
A SFD for me. As for the rest of it, we will put it down as recharging the batteries. Slept well and continued to read and sleep for most of the morning. Not in pain but nothing wanted to work and it took me a while to get downstairs to put the heating on to take the edge off the bathroom chill.
I have had a bath, washed my hair and dressed, dried nearly two full loads of clothing and taken a library book and several cans for the food bank box. Tried looking through some paperwork which sent me back to sleep. Had an e-mail from my ex energy company, yet another mis-calculated bill (despite the 4 e-mails I have sent in the last month). They seem to have corrected the errors on the December bill but nothing else (should be calculating my final bill but this is a concoction of 'estimated' usage ie energy I haven't used). Will deal with it tomorrow - just can't find the words now, or not any that are fit to print.
Today I am grateful for listening to my body and letting it rest, for good reading material and for hot baths. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
NSD number 3 for me today. Work just being work - meaning I am way too busy to be thinking about spending money anywhere.
Bob - I know you'll want to be home ASAP but please try and rest a bit, and get yourself well.
I'm always approaching death by Wednesday - no free lessons, meetings after school etc. It's all I've managed to do this week to survive the day and then collapse at home by 6pm. The quality of my diet has gone to pot a bit - I will need to batch cook over the weekend I think. Doing ok otherwise though, plodding on as always. Not giving up

Thanks TOG, I did manage to get nsd 1 today :-D Today was also the delivery of my second free graze box, talked to my parents about it and have decided to keep my subscription, at least for now, given that they think it's reasonable value for money it can't be all bad. On a side note, I do have a voucher code for 2 free graze boxes for new subscribers if anyone wants it.
I did about an hour of dissertation work last night, but have only done about 20 minutes so far today (unless you count emailing supervisor, printing off emails and reading lists) although I went through a whole book in those 20 minutes, I'm just putting off having to get out of my warm nest and sit at the computer.
I walked for 35 minutes today, I was rather disappointed because I'd expected the route to take me about an hour, obviously I'm walking too fast lol, to be fair, I wouldn't have been able to hold a conversation while I walked but neither was I panting.
Went back to the caravan again today, three boxes of books gone to charity shop, deposited 4 bags of clothes in the Sally ally collection bin, mopped the floor where the fridge lives and have lost count of the number of loads of washing and drying I've done today.
Bob- take your time to recover, I discharged myself from hospital early after having my appendix out and it was fine until I tried to get into bed and couldn't lift my legs in!
Mother- sounds like you're busy and hectic too, glad the radiator found a new home!
Calling- the eating more wholesome food is what I'm trying to do at the moment, and stop drinking coffee with a squillion sugars in. On day three I don't feel much different, although the scales tell me I've lost 2lb.Credit card respend 2551.58 (15/02/17)0 -

Themarsbargirl I was thinking about getting graze boxes for DH as he's started buying them in the VERY overpriced shop near work when he gets peckish!
I'd be very grateful for the voucher code please.
Well done on your weight loss, 2lb in 3 days is excellent and not to be sniffed at - most diet plans advise you can lose 2lbs per week! :TEveryone is a work in progress. :j

Applemuncher I was reading 2016 frugal challenge - useful links on there. Sorry to hear that dh is out of work?
Themarsbargirl fab weight lost. Going to try again tomorrow and cut all the sugary food out.
Went out for pub tea tonight, had kiddies fish and chips. I struggled with that, lovely though and a glass of wine. Oops. Hopefully friend bit cheered up, however you realise how tough life can be at times for some folk and hardly anything you can do to help.
Bob you don't get a great deal of rest in a hospital ward.Hugs.

Hi everyone!
Bob sending hugs and get well wishes.
NSD 2 for me today. Been on a training course with work. Hoping that the fact they are putting effort into sending me on courses is a good indication that I may be kept on after the end of my temp contract. I took some homemade cake in for my colleagues too, in the hope that bribery may also help.
Homemade butternut squash soup for dinner tonight. Only used 3 ingredients and took 20 minutes in my soup maker, and it was pretty tasty!
Things are still looking good to pay off the cc this month. I have a lump sum sat in the bank that I'm itching to throw at it, but am holding on until the middle of the month when I will have a little interest paid on it. Every penny helps!0
