bob - is baby bob there with you? Sending you v gentle hugs x

No which is one of the most awful bits. Because of the meds I'm on I can't even express for her. I know I will get back to our routine soon but it's so hard.

    Evening all,

I'm really sorry for my absence so far, there just aren't enough hours in the day, and tomorrow looks like I'll be at school 11/12 hours too.

2 SFDs to report and not much else, just trying to keep my head down and be productive without running out of steam. I can't wait for a lie in on Sunday :)

Hope you get better and out soon bob

Sorry to hear about DH apple

Thanks for all the kind words Turtles.

Chocolate - was your procedure laproscopic or open? Had mine on Sunday via the former. I've been mobile fine for days just that I came down with a bug that they had to rule out something serious. I'm not trying to rush things I promise. Just desperate to be with my family now. I have been put in a side room which is amazing on the one hand and incredibly lonely on the other. Hours go by with me just sitting until they do another thing.
End of the day I'm alive right!

Sorry to hear about DH's job apple

NSD 1 today plus I went to the gym after work. Really enjoyed the gym and feel like it properly got rid of the stresses of the last few days - must try and go more often as I always feel so much better for going.

    Hi everyone
BOB I'm sorry I didn't realise you were in hospital, I hope you're home soon and feeling well, just take it really easy.

Another sfd, I have been sitting DGD again whilst mom at work, really close to DGD and I love it. Looking after youngest DGD tomorrow morning but only for a couple of hours, shes only just a year old and as cute as a button, so looking forwards to it as its not a usual occurrence.

Havent really done anything tonight, ate dinner and just chilled, so just another normal day for me.

Oh thanks Calling, I will look on the website for offers because its one thing I have looked into before but thought it a bit expensive, so will keep my eyes open as I know I would use it.

  • Catwoman- sent you a pm.
Bob- mine was open (I think- I was 14 at the time) but I remember the surgeon saying they'd managed to make such a small incision it wasn't much bigger than laproscopic. I was mobile, sitting to standing and walking around, just couldn't do the sitting to laying. Hope your infection clears up soon.

Calling (and cat) the loss has spurred me on, but I won't count it as a 'real' loss until official weigh in on Monday, but I tend to find I lose fairly quick (although I gain back quick too) when I'm focused, especially the first couple of weeks.

Calling, have you ever heard of a 'buddy box'? They are hideously overpriced things online you can send someone to cheer them up, when I came across them I decided to make my own and send it to a friend (much cheaper!) With nice bath stuff and little bits and bobs. Just thinking it might perk your friend up receiving a nice thing in the post, even just a card or something if it's in your budget :)

Bob - I would be climbing the walls too.

apple - hope your DH gets sorted with a new job soon.

calling - your poor friend, you just being there for her will be the best thing - I do hope her daughter pulls through.

From school run time on Tuesday until bedtime last night I had a migraine, I've had them since I was 5 years old so know how to just carry on through the pain, on a scale of 1-10 it was a 7, a 9 or 10 would be a different story. When I was driving to collect DD the sun was low in the sky and super bright and kept going behind a building then blinding me again - this did not help.

Today it is much better and I have my right let's get things done attitude back.

    Good morning,

    Bob get well soon x

Today I jump back on the gym bandwagon. Fell off due to hairdresser, dentist and nursery visit. Been going 4-5 days (only about 20-40 min) a week before that and feel the withdrawal ;). So back in the pool today for 1 km swim at lunch time. Also made a nice salad for lunch and a yogurt, oats and berries shake for elevenses and a wee tub of sauerkraut for a snack.

Today will be a SFD and tea is in the slow cooker. YS pork ribs with a sticky chilli glaze.

    Till later
