Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi All
Managed another £10 PAD today which means I've paid off 20% of the debt I am aiming to clear by Christmas already. I am really amazed at how much all the PADS add up to and how much the doing it motivates me.

I had recieved a demand from HMRC for £256 but on enquiring my accountant says it's a fishing trip and he has several clients receiving these letters. So they can jog on. I will ring as he suggested and just tell them if they need further info he will write on my behalf. Apparently it's something to do with just how long it takes their systems to catch up on PAYE.

Off to scrape something up for tea. Fridge raiders extrodinaire today.

    Bob

    Evening all,

mothernerd - please rest up and I hope you feel better soon

Today has been a spendy day as I needed to pay car parking when meeting friends for a free social outing. I have since done tutoring and been to aldee and arsdar twice. I thought I was doing so well after doing all the food shopping for the next week for less than £5! and then I got home, topped up the screen wash in my car, and noticed there was NO coolant - where has it gone?!?! So I had to go back to arsdar and buy some as I have a trip to make first thing tomorrow morning and its the opposite direction to arsdar.

Apart from that, not much to report, except that I have discovered that arsdar do their fruit and veg reductions about 2-3pm. I didn't need anything except salad so just spent 25p on a bag of bistro salad.

Well that was truly a makeshift meal. Oven chips topped with a portion of chilli each with melted cheese on top and a few frozen veg each. That really is me with an empty fridge now. Will have to get groceries tommorow.

Bob - a while back, you hoped that dh was bearing up. Thank you! He is - it is good to have this week with him during the half term break. (Tho I may well wish for 'my space' again soon!)

This made me laugh Bob, apart from the chips, I eat this meal 3 or 4 times a week. I always batch cook tonnes of chilli but try and avoid carbs at night so have it on frozen veg, but top most meals with cheese.

  • :hello:
Hope you're feeling better soon mothernerd - rest up as much as you can.
I'm putting my grumpy mood down to a combination of stress, hormones and possibly getting ill. I'm sneezing lots.
As planned - a quiet day today. I got the kids to the dentist - it was a new dentist that we've never seen before, and although ds is terrified he sat down and let the dentist have a look at his teeth. :j What a good man.
I crocheted myself a hat this afternoon - it's so cold out there at the moment. And I'm looking for my next project. Wondering whether or not to knit or crochet my mam a bunch of flowers for Mother's Day.
NSD apart from the dentist - I pay for my treatment, which was just a good clean thankfully.
Might try and plan to catch up with my bestie tomorrow - she's been ill for a couple of weeks and I fancy a good catch up.
  • NSD number 10 today yay! Had another busy day at work and my three day migraine is giving me a not so good mood. At least it's not a migraine, one thing to be thankful for. And DS1 offered to cook supper - he did a good job cooking corned beef hash. Yummy it was too. We made sure we let him know we appreciated and enjoyed his cooking, he's keen to try cooking as he will be doing lots of them when he goes to uni in September. It's not the healthiest meal but not too bad as an occasional treat.

Topped up my petrol this evening, but didn't count is as spend as per rules. Had £2.59 discount for using the 6p per off per liter of fuel in Mr. S. It cost £37 for a full tank which should last til after the end of the month. We have about £3 excess in the petrol budget. :). Earned 37 nectar points.

Going to try to go to sleep early if this headache will let me. See you all tomorrow.

  • Reporting in a NSD for today but a spend day for yesterday.

I ran out of washing powder the other day and was hoping to buy washing powder on a spend day but I just did not have enough arms to carry my work stuff and the washing powder so had to spend yesterday!!

    Hoping for better tomorrow.

Saturday will be a spend day as booked DD and I in for haircuts - I am thinking of going a lot shorter so will be having about 5inches cut off.

Doing as I am told and back on the bed. Spent £1 on travel and £4.50 on yoghurts, apples and ice cream.

Watched my film again, done all the sky on my jigsaw (+ a few bits), put some things in a charity sack (need to go to the library either tomorrow or Saturday.

Today I am grateful for pleasant company (counsellor and volunteer were just enough), for being able to get in and out of the bath (didn't feel up to it yesterday) and for apples (can't smell anything but they taste really good).

Oh good I'm so glad. It is so hard losing your job and especially when he's had all the trouble with his eyes too. He must be a strong person. And obviously has great support too :)
