OK OK
I was fortunate to be a school with a lovely set of Mums !!!
And I do believe most people are decent - just don't always think sometimes
If that makes me a bad person....I'll live with it
(and you lot KNOW I'm no pushover when it comes to strong opinions)

If someone is immuno compromised and having chemo that's even less reason to go out underdressed, surely.. :eek:left the forum due to trolling/other nonsense

If you have no-one to take the kids to school in this particular situation then do you
Keep them home - compromising their education and your rest/recovery
OR
Decide going out whilst not ideal is the lesser of the two evils even if you don't even have the energy to get dressed.
In Elise's situation I'd have gone for option 2 too.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

I used to have a fifteen minute walk to primary school with my son and I used to really enjoy the time we spent walking to school as it was often really good talking time together. We'd leave in plenty of time so it was a stroll not a rush and enjoy the time . Time to chat without distractions -it was simply quality time together just the two of us.
...
Totally agree.
I enjoyed those walks to and from school when my kids were at primary - for exactly the reasons you have given.
When they went to secondary, and the 'walk to school' stopped, I really felt a sense of loss.0 -

No wonder kids today are lardy
No, I said there were lots of times I drove them rather than letting them walk in the rain or with heavy bags, etc. Most of the time they walked, but I saw no need for them to have to sit in school all day in wet socks and shoes for no good reason.
How you made the leap from that to 'you couldn't handle a 5 minute walk' is beyond me.I'm an adult and I can eat whatever I want whenever I want and I wish someone would take this power from me.
