    Meant to put my app onto manual update and forgot. Was gutted to see that it updated overnight. The new format sucks. I hate that latest news feed.

    I just got an email from bounts saying that they are no longer recognising MMF apps. Gutted. If I'd known this I'd never have joined or paid for premium membership.

    They're offering a whole 100 bounts as compensation (between the two of us we get 120 points per day! from MMf)

    Oh you are joking?! :eek::mad:

    Now this has really peed me off as I use MMF apps as my only source of recording activities. This will lose me 60 points a day. Just when I thought this company could get any worse :(

    Just got that email too. No hundred points have gone on yet though. I've got the Strava app but haven't used it yet, so don't know if it works as well?

    Same, however I'm not too gutted.
    Since UnderArmor bought out MapMyFitness it's been getting really obnoxious IMO. The ads are much more interfering than they used to be, the app itself feels "clunkier", there seem to be more updates that don't improve things and it uses more resources on my phone. Not to mention the fact that UA are really heavily pushing the "pay lots for not much extra" version.

    So this was just the nudge I needed to push me over to Strava anyway. Tried it on the cycle home and it seems pretty decent so far.

    The thing that's making me quietly nervous just now is the lack of coffee shops available for rewards :(.

    What other app can be used just for tracking walking then? It seems Strava and Runkeeper are aimed at cyclists and runners. I do neither.

    According to the Strava website, they are planning to add support for other activities including walking to mobile devices "soon". For now, you can log a walk as a run, then manually edit it to be of type "walk" via the website.

    For me, I'd just log it as a run. What is walking if not running slowly ;)

    Its an absolute joke. I tried downloading the other apps but they get stuck at the profile page. A lot of them are in app payments as well. I'd rather bounts got rid of the challenges than the MMF app. Utterly ridiculous! I was really enjoying it as well.

    I switched over to runkeeper. It has a walking activity and it has the same 20 minutes at 4km/h so it's not too different. I used it for the first time on the way home and it tracked properly.

    Also there's a new challenge to earn an extra 50 points.

    That's very useful to know, thank you. I'll give it a try today :cool:

    ETA: have you received the extra 100pts yet?
