Hi, have you spoken to your husband about the 22k debt and 42K to find? How did it go?
Do you think he will be able to help you deal with these tasks?

Whilst you cannot possibly afford the procedure for the foreseeable future, would you have a think about seeking help for your depression?
Financial problems often arise when depression and other mental illnesses are not treated. Also, sometimes treating the mental health of someone vastly improves their physical health.
I know you don't want to say what this procedure is, and the temptation of someone else performing a one -off "cure" must be immense but maybe working through the depression with lots of other support would be really good for you?

mollydee -we tend NOT to recommend companies which charge people money to sort out debt problems - there are charities which do it for free- Stepchange, National Debtline and Christians against poverty to name but 3.

I've noticed that too; across most forums here people seem quite opinionated and often semi-informed or uniformed. Which is always feature of internet forums! However, what IS good advice (as several people have said) is to get in touch with the bona fide charties (there are several) ASAP.

People on this forum have long memories, when you read regularly certain similarities jump out at you. I also recollect at least one similar story, (one of the links above), as this one. The op answers in a similar way, short replies not giving anything away.

I second that plus the fact that the the previous threads were extremely upsetting to some people, especially those who don't believe in reincarnation

I was in a similar situation living behond my means I contacted a company called ideal depth solutions they have taken a lot of weight off my shoulders or you can contact the CAB who can guide you to the government debt solution plans

Mollydee I would suggest you contact stepchange, who are a free debt charity, to help you.
Paying a company to run an otherwise freely available debt solution is madness.

All you have done is given yourself one more creditor to service, these private companies have very dodgy reputations for not paying your creditors, going bust, and taking all your money with them.

I would urge you to re-think this as a matter of urgency !!!

  • Hi all
I am back to continue trying to cut back and pay off my debts.

I have been in hospital for the last couple of months hence why I haven't been here.

I will try and do a new SOA later when I can find all the details.

Hopefully it is a little bit better than before as I swapped to a different rate of credit card just before going into hospital
