I feel very lonely and not being accepted on this site. That's fine, everyone has their own feelings about me and my mess.
I've noticed that too; across most forums here people seem quite opinionated and often semi-informed or uniformed. Which is always feature of internet forums! However, what IS good advice (as several people have said) is to get in touch with the bona fide charties (there are several) ASAP.If my post doesn't appear to be serious, then it is not serious. So what? Kick back, relax enjoy life and have a little fun. Life is far far too short to be grumpy!!!!0 -
You tell us that you are over 22 thousand in debt and need an op which will cost 42 thousand. I don't know what you are expecting to happen here. This board gives wonderful advice - it has helped me greatly and I only have a state pension and a very small works pension. Martin is not going to hand you the money nor is anyone else but he and loads on here will tell you how to manage your debt, get you out of debt and then how to save. £22.000 is a lot of debt for someone who hasn't a job you must be paying a fortune in interest.
I think the secret with debt is to plug the leak of money before it gets too serious and to stop spending immediately till the debt is paid.
Hope this helps you a bit and sending you a hug. I don't mean to be harsh.0 -

Thanks for the hug Grunnie.
I got into this mess before I was finished work due to bad health. I pay alot of interest. I just keep plugging away. I was only looking for help and suggestions. I wasn't asking for money from anyone. I haven't been out the house apart from GP and CAB. I have cut the cards up and looking for things to sell0 -

I do feel that people here have at times been a touch judgmental, but there has also been good advice too. One thing, if you are struggling with health, have you spoken to health charities to see what can be done?
And also of course, ring your credit cards. Of the 6 credit cards I had, 4 offered me a very low (one was 0) interest rate payback option. Whilst forums are good for discussion, this probably needs dealing with directly. If my post doesn't appear to be serious, then it is not serious. So what? Having a hip replacement privately costs around £9k. Have major surgery like a heart bypass costs around £15k. There is no crucial treatment that costs £42k that would not be covered by the NHS. Story is very fishypoppy100

I don't understand the cloak and daggers with the £42k private medical fee. Yes, people on here can help with the practical how to reduce the £22k debt, but you never know - some people may be able to advise you on your health predicament. I don't understand why you would not disclose the procedure, being ill is nothing to be ashamed of.0

It is up to you whether you think it is fishy.0 -
