NSD for me yesterday as I was at work all day. The oven had a funny five minutes yesterday and just turned itself off half way through cooking. The bulb has gone and I think it triggered the auto switch to come on but managed to rescue dinner.
My car is in the garage for a free winter health check so fingers crossed it doesn't need any work doing today. Work all day then race to get the car then race to meet the mother in town for a free night at a beauty shop (just for the goodie bag!) so hopefully a NSD but may have to pay for the car and get sucked into buying a product at the shop!July grocery challenge £161.25/£2900 -
Hello, I'm new to this but would love to join in if its not too late?
There are just two of us now, and a smallish but greedy dog and I'm spending far too much I'm ashamed to say.
I'd like to aim for a February total of £3000 -

Hi, I'd like to have a go at this. Can you count me in with a budget of £200
This is for 2 adults and a toddler. My spending has been out of control this month (1 - 25 January) - I have managed to spend £750 on groceries and eating out/coffees etc.
My new month starts 28/01 for 4 weeks ending 25/02. £50 a week should be more than enough to cover all food, toiletries, nappies, cleaning products and laundry stuff. I am shocked and ashamed of myself! We are vegetarian so cheap and healthy meals are very achievable....(she says)0 -
Another £12 in Aldi today on nappies along with little ones fruit/snacks which will last the month as she is in nursery a lot and they include food in their prices but we needed stuff for our upcoming rugby tournament
£24 in Iceland yesterday; more than planned however some real offers on so I have a well stocked freezer - maybe weekly shopping isn't for me after all!
I have enough left for fresh milk, extra squash and then fresh bread, ham and salad stuff (should be a max of £20 really)
I don't think I properly accounted for a Makro shop but I have agreed with OH we will go bi-monthly from now on so I can adjust our budget accordingly (next month and likely the month after I will lower them slightly and put that bit aside to take to Makro next). I also bought things in makro I didn't expect to buy!************************************

Hi there, done January pretty well, as I had loads of left overs from my two DDs who wanted to 'clear' the Christmas stuff from their fridges, so I ended up with a freezer full of stuff and some odd jars and tins of bits and pieces.
So only had two shops in January, and I am well under budget
What's left in my food purse next Sunday will go into my holiday fund.
My new month starts next Monday on the 1st and my budget will be as usual
£60.00. Should be good as well as its only a short month:):)
Well done everyone on your savings, Janaury is a very looong month after all the Christmas festivities
Cheers chums JackieO xx0 -
Hi all, looking for some inspiration for meals as I'm writing my Feb meal plan. We have pasta about once a week, and we like spag bolagnese, pesto etc but need some other ideas of what to serve with it.Grocery Challenge 2024
